I recently moved GW from my C: drive to the D: drive to free up room (the D: drive is just extra storage space) I had to reinstall the game to the new location but it is also going through the like 5 hour process of re DLing the game, the DAT file is there in the new location but it doesnt seem to be recognized, is there anything I can do?

Open Regedit and find the key:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AreaNet\Guild Wars
There you can see path that GW stored (ie. D:\Games\GW\Gw.exe),
you can try change the path to it's new location and see if it helps.
I haven't tried this so I don't know if it will solve your problem,
otherwise you can also do:
1. Make a copy of your GW.DAT
2. Uninstall the game
3. Reinstall in new folder
4. Copy your old GW.DAT file into new folder

Depending upon what version of windows you are running, it could be a matter of permissions. Go to gw.exe, right click and choose "Run as administrator". And make sure that gw.dat has not been renamed to gw.tmp.
