i don't post much but, lately I've been having issues while farming. For starters I usually farm vaettirs, ToPK, UW, and Arborstone. I farm other things but those are the areas I farm the most. And until recently my drop rates were fair.
About a week and a half ago I log on to do a little ToPK ledge farm while I have my morning coffee. I avg about 50 runs an hour there. Two hours go by and not a single ecto drop. I give up there and go to arborstone to farm tomes. 100 runs and no tomes or golds, it was as if I was in normal mode the way the drops were. I gave up there and went to vaettir's. Getting there was funny. I ran the same path as normal and ran into not 1 but 3 frost wurms. Usually there isn't any on the path. I get there and out of again 100 runs only about 3 golds, 2 mes tomes, and not a single glacial stone.
Since then I've tried changing it up. I've ran missions I've waited time between kills, time between zoning, re-logging ect. and every combination possible that has been suggested else where. I still get the same results. So my question is, Bad luck or am I doing it wrong.
Farming: Doing it wrong or just bad luck

Its just bad luck m8, i was up at Vaettirs this weekend and the drops where shocking, in the 5 runs i did i have 3 gold drops and about 8 stones, i gave up, its been the same up there all weekend, i think when any event comes along, all the main farming area's get hit hard.

I'd say you just hit an unfortunate stretch of random number generation.

That happens to me also. I can do run after run and hardly get anything, It's frustrating I know.
I think it has all to do with "Chance to drop", just because something has a chance to drop doesn't mean it will, this also includes world drops like dyes and gold.
Then there are those times that killing three Banished Dream Rider's in ToPK result in two ecto drops and a white dye, well that only happened once and will probably never happen again, but then again maybe it will.
What I usually do when I don't get any drops from repeated runs, I go do something else for a while like Zaishen Mission and Bounty or whatever.
Another example; I spend weeks solo farming gems (Sapphires and Rubies) to be exact and never got a single one. Then, while carting in Factions equipped with a running build in NM no less and with a full party of Heroes and Henchmen I ran past a patrol and the slower AI party killed them and wouldn't you know it a Sapphire dropped for me.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I wouldn't worry about it too much and that you aren't doing anything wrong and IMO that's just the way it is.

@OP you try any of them Lunar Fortune for luck?
just wondering.... seems like the OP farms a lot so might as well try it out.

Honestly, it seems to go in waves for us. Not big into farming, but I've noticed that I can go a week or two and get really good drops, then another week or two and I'm lucky if I get anything other than a little bit of gold along with a couple of white items. Since I spend the majority of my time actually doing missions and quests (still new enough I'm working my way through the games) in NM or HM, it's unlikely I've been tripping anti-farming code much, if at all.

Just keep on farming, you'll hit that lucky stretch again.
