Unidentified Rune

So I was salvaging some drops for mats a while back, and rather than id'ing one, I decided to try to just salvage it and forgo the rune, and instead of getting materials I ended up getting the unidentified rune instead of the mats.



I checked it out to see if it can be sold to the rune trader, but they don't recognize it so it doesn't show up in the sell menu.

Anyone else come across something like this?

Nothing oldschool or whatever, you can still salvage your unids runs blue/purple/gold to get unid Insigna or runs.
Here's an example of Unid insignia that I just dropped, and I recycled just forya! ;D

This used to be a big deal a long time ago.
People would salvage first and see what the rune was. So if they got a Superior Vigor, they sold it as a 'Unid Sup Vigor' so that when people actually identified it, they would get it unlocked on their account.

Not only that, but a long time ago you could also salvage the unid rune from the unid armor and retain the unid armor. This way you could get 2 unid golds from 1 chest drop.

This, used be big deal in 2005-2006, but its nothing special and that trick wont work anymore
