Another "hacked" thread but I promise Im not whinning!

Hey everyone!

so I did a search and wow there is a lot of threads on people being hacked. I was hacked about 2 years ago and just found out (I stopped playing for awhile). I got in contact with Anet via twitter and via email and I couldn't be happier with how things were handled.

Today I was going through my stuff.. the Hacker only took my expensive stuff Vigors, etc etc. I understand they cant replace items like that. It would take to much time and its really easy to exploit.

The one thing I am wondering if they will give back is my Pre-Order Items for collectors edition and my PC Gamer Miniatures. I only wonder because I had to give a code for those items. I am missing my mini Destroyer and Varesh both unded and I want to dedicate them.

Only reason I left them unded was because at the time I was still deciding if I was going to sell them or not ( just being honest ). Then I told myself I wouldn't sell my mini's unless they were doubles.

Anyway, So I was curious if anyone knows what they do in this situation. If I cant get them back then that's fine Ill move on but there is still a little part of me that really hopes they do and I would be fibbing if I didn't say I would be a "little" frustrated.

PS I realize that this will end up locked at some point... however I would like YOU to search "Collectors Edition Items and PC Gamer Items gone with Hacked account can I get them back" without pulling up a million and one topics that have those items in it but are not actually talking about the problem at hand haha

No, unfortunately ANet don't restore sold/stolen items onto your account these things are gone forever.

Start playing and save up to buy some replacements.

Just posting that before the other generic trolls who dont read OP posts come in. Now for the real answer;

Im afraid not. The codes you used to unlock the pets were just that. The pet unlock code. As the pets are freely tradeable (Even if not hacked off of an account), it can be safely said that the hacker has sold the items on already and the (maybe honest) buyers may have already sold the minipets on to someone who is not even indirectly connected to the hacking. If Anet removes the pets from their account you will in turn be scamming them so to say.

Im afraid you will have to save up and buy them from players if you want those particular pets back again.

A) Anet will not restore those items. It's probably too much work for them, and prevents abuse by devs (or abuse of devs as a duping service )

B) If a code unlocks multiple items, like the bonus weapons, it should still work (type /bonus). If the code was used to create a single item, especially a promotion minipet, you're out of luck - those codes are one use only.

So, you won't get the stolen items back. At best, the one who stole your account will be banned.

Better to accept it and go for a new life - start all over.

Welcome back to the game, so sorry to hear you were hacked.

It is really nice to see such a heathy attitude to a setback like this, although you won't get your minis back from Anet I hope you enjoy playing the game again.

You are allowed to ask specific questions as you did about your minipets. It's the posters that want guru to fix the problem or just want to rant about Support's non-response that get closed immediately.

ArenaNet can only restore items to your account that the hacker has not yet passed on or sold to another player. Any delay in discovering the hack lessens the chances of you getting specific items back. They cannot create items on the live server so they have no ability to just replace them. While rare, both of those minipets are still available on the market for fairly reasonable prices. You will just need to do some farming to raise the gold.

My sympathies for the loss.

@NewSin it's a no on reproduction mini's and i'm sure in no time you can just buy them from someone in no time.
