ZM of the day - ToPK
ToPK should be easy. God damned B/P teams beat this back before skill creep (granted in NM, but enemies are only 2 levels higher in HM). We have builds 5x stronger than anything that existed back then, surely ToPK should be a piece of cake?
Boy was I wrong... I join a group at 5/8. Team composition: 3 monks (all healer, of meh-but-usable builds), 1 warrior (decent HB build), and 1 Panic mesmer (good build, though I wasn't too hot on Panic when most groups are of 3 enemies of varying profession but w/e). I'm a R/W ranger, and I manage to convince the team to stop sitting around forever spamming for players and just let me take two heroes to round up the group, which I do and take a rt/mo for splinter weapon/smite and a MM because I think you are supposed to take a MM in ToPK or something.
We get in and... damn. OK, it was stupid on my part for not remembering that warriors get shafted by Fingers of Chaos, meaning the frontline HB is almost useless and I'm needing to use antidote signet every 5s until the MM has an army to block for me. But I swear the monks never cast a single condition removal the entire time, though they were perfectly happy to give me +400 healing whenever I was 100 down. So our kill rate is horrendously slow, but we get through to 3 levels.
Then the monks decide to stop paying attention and camp in a Meteor Showers while trying to outheal the damage. 2 of them do this at the same time and we wipe. Immediately after returning to the outpost, the leader tells me "Your heroes f**king suck" and kicks me
. Not that I wasn't going to leave after that, but how does he expect my clearly offensive-minded heroes to save him from MS?
TL;DR I'm done with my attempts at helping shitty players out for the week.
