Hey guys, I was wondering if a market kind-of guild would work? Basically If you want to buy or sell something you say it in guild/alliance chat, instead of being in LA and what-not. If you don't want to hear anything then you can simply turn guild/alliance chat off.
I just made a guild called Buying and Selling, and i wonder if people would join.
Is it a good idea or should i just close it down?

It could work if you could get an alliance going. As well as being able to convince a lot of traders to leave their current guilds. But even if you can get it going, it will be more of an invite-sell-leave type guild.

Also, if you are wanting a bunch of powertraders in the guild, it wouldnt necessarily work.
You have most people knowing the price of an item so if someone wants to sell higher/buy lower it wont go down very well.

If GW was using a system where your new charachter doesnt automaticly get added to the same guild as you older ones, then yes it could be a good idea. Then ppl could have their mules and pure farming chars in a Buy-Sell guild. Unfortunately ppl would need a 2d account in case they wouldnt want to leave their current guild just to sell something.
Depending on how GW2 is gonna handle this, it might be a good idea there, but in current GW? Im slightly doubtful tbh.

Too many problems with it to make it a viable proposition. Think about all the drama resulting from buyers/sellers who feel that they got screwed over by another guildie/ally.
On top of that, limiting trade to between guildies cuts their market down dramatically.
