hi guys,

Was wondering if someone could help me please.... i have played guild wars factions for the past 2 years or so and decided to purchase the guild wars complete collection pack, which has all the other adds ons plus guild wars 1....

When i came to load up after installation it loaded my factions screen up. I uninstalled all guild wars on my computer then re-installed and i still have the same homepage. Once i logged in and went to create a character, all my factions characters were still here... however, when i went to create a new character, it asks me which add on i would like to add this character too, (factions, nightfall, and prophecies) Yet i can only click on factions icon.

Do i need to make a completely new account to be able to access the other add-ons plus guild wars 1? Or have i missed something...

Many thanks.....

Does your account have any new character slots?
Did you use a CD key?

If the answer to either of the above questions is no, you haven't actually done anything. What you need to do is open GW and click 'Create Account or Add Access Key' and follow the instructions. Make sure you add the key to your existing account. There is no need to uninstall/reinstall; you'll download the new files as you need them.

If you want to play your existing characters in the other campaigns and EotN then you should add the CD key to your existing account. However, you also have the option of creating an entirely new acct and adding the new key to that one instead. There are some decent reasons for taking the second option actually... since factions is already on your first acct the addition of the new key would simply unlock the other campaigns you lack. You can't use it again to put factions on a second acct. However, if you add the key to a new acct, you get 2 accts (both with their own separate storage and character slots) where one has factions and the other has everything. It can be nice to have that second acct for storage or for playing with 2 chars at once.

EotN is an expansion. You cannot make a character there. Instead, you can access the content once you get to level 10 and get to either Kamadan (in Nightfall), Kaineng Center (in Factions), or Lion's Arch (in Prophecies).
