I'm seemingly stuck at between 10-20 FPS these days, I'm running a Intel Core Duo 2.20GHz with 4GB RAM, and I think a 512MB Graphic card.

Any ideas? I've Defragged, reinstalled, etc. etc.

Hmm, even though that's a pretty dated system, I'm guessing that you used to get better frame rates than that.

Give us a bit more info on your graphics card - I'm assuming the first thing you did was update the drivers for that?

Also: you're one of those scary PvP people - buy yourself a new computer and continue educating the masses in comfort

What graphics card is it in particular? Also what in game settings and what monitor resolution do you use?

I just run on low, my graphics card is the intregrated one, I've never had any problems with it before, I just did another disk defrag and wiped the temporary internet files and that seems to be helping as I am back up to like 30-40ish right now.

Also PvPers aren't scary xD.

If the graphics are integrated, you may want to check exactly how much RAM the graphics chip uses. You didn't say whether your machine is a desktop or a laptop....

- if it's a laptop, it may have integrated graphics or it may have a discrete graphics chip with it's own dedicated 512 megs of RAM.

- otherwise, the graphics may just share main RAM, and this could be as low as 64meg shared. If it's that low, it would reduce your fps because of a lack of space to store textures, etc. So, you may want to check the manual to see if the graphics have dedicated RAM or shared RAM. If it's shared RAM, you may want to enter the BIOS/setup to make sure the graphics are set to use 512meg (or more than 64meg, at least).

Are you running 32 or 64 bit? Is your processor capable of supporting 64 bit? If so, I'd recommend running a 64 bit OS if you're not already, and installing an actual graphics card. Being a laptop I doubt it'd be worth it to upgrade the graphics any. Personally, I've always been very keen on desktops for gaming. You can extend their lifetime much further than laptops.

Its 64 bit, I've always felt more comfortable playing on Laptops because I feel more involved and I notice more things on the screen, which is quite important for GvG.

I'm buying a new one in three months anyways so its not a big issue I guess.

kinda having the same problem, never minded it for 2 years, til i got a desktop. but I've recently noticed my integrated graphics card (yes i know 358 MB probably can't handle it) doesn't change fps whether i'm on the highest settings or lowest settings. changing the refresh rate 60 Hz (which it's apparently capable of) does nothing either.

@xhappy feetx --- how do you feel more involved and notice more on a smaller screen with lower quality graphics/settings? :s

@Benderama - what integrated graphics do you have? You could most likely increase your performance enough to max out GW for under $50....

I don't know how to explain it, Its a 17" so its not that small and the keyboard just makes me feel more comfortable playing.
