Locked Chests

hi, im just wondering if its possible to get Q8 weapons from locked chests? i have never gotten any so i would like to know if there is a chance. thanks in advance

If i remember correctly you can. Think my friend got it a couple of times, not the most common thing in the world tho.

It's more likely if you chest run at lower level areas.

I got a req 8 bow out of a chest in the Closer to the Stars mission explorable in Factions years ago. Haven't seen another one since!

As an alternative, consider General Collector Weapons from Kryta in Prophecies. These weapons are only req 6 and yet they are almost as powerful as req 9 weapons!

Example: Bows with spec of 13-25 and inscription of 15>50% at req 6. Full power bow is 15-28, so you are very close to full strength while saving 3 ranks of attribute points in the process. Which allows for some interesting builds.

For some reason these easy to obtain treasures are almost forgotten these days, but they remain the jewels they always were! And the price is right, that's for sure!

There's always been an odd aversion to collector weapons for some reason, wilebill - go figure.

The main reason people ask about req 8 weapons is more related to making big bucks rather than usability, in my experience.
