Actually, almost any folder but the default, will do - such as:

C:\Games\Guild Wars

Default or not, it should run anywhere. On the C drive, on another internal drive, on an external HDD or flash drive, over a networked drive.

Next time you have a problem like this, run a freeware registry cleaner such as the one in "Crap Cleaner" (CCleaner) or the app "Little Registry Cleaner".

I removed your picture - you seriously don't want to publish a picture of a support ticket to NCSoft that contains your account name in it. I would think strongly about removing that email address you have as your Guild too.

Yes it should, however on the latest OSes, Program Files (and Program Files (x86)) can get very fussy about permissions and things have been known to screw up because of this. That's why we've always advocated installing anywhere but the default location.
