Rending aura:
I noticed that Rending aura is armor ignoring cold damage, it does full damage to 100 armor. Whirling charge doesn't, neither do staggering force, dust cloak, mystic sandstorm, mystic twister, mirage cloak, grenth's fingers, test of faith or any other elemental damages from Dervishes.
VoS:
For some reason Vow of Strength seems to be nearby (or bigger range than Sand shards). It will hit targets Sand shards (and the scythe itself) will not.

I don't notice anything weird on crits with EDA. Possibly your earth mod conversion went down? You did remember to add an earth mod right?
Possibly the centre of the AoE for Sand Shards and VoS is different. From Sand Shards' description I would say it centres on the target, whereas VoS centres on you. Repeat that test on the other side of the target.

I believe VoS cares about your location and Sand cares more about who's hit.

I'm pretty sure its VoS centered on you, Sand Shards centered on the target. VoS can hit enemies behind you, Sand Shards can't unless both enemies are right up next to you. Both seem to use 'adjacent' instead of 'adjacent to foe' as far as their targetting can be related to the AoE dummies.
