Need help in Thirsty River

I have just spent 2 hours trying to do Elona Reach and if I fail it one more time I may just have to break something. It is incredibly frustrating.
So I need some help with it. I am not very good, only been playing for about 2 months, I'm level 19, I die frequently and I've only played with the henchmen and M.O.X.
My characters name is Gwyn Helek and any help will be greatly apreciated
The only bit I really have trouble with is at the bridge before the 2nd crystal shard with the splinter mines on either side of the bridge, I always die after I cross that bridge no matter what I try
