Code=005

Im getting a code=005 when I try to log in, I can get to the char selection screen but it doesnt even load a city when i try to get in. This is only on my main character. All of my other characters can load in fine.

My main is currently in The Eternal Grove so idk if that would have anything to do with it.

I cannot figure out whats wrong with it.

"Guild Wars was unable to connect to the game server due to a network error. This may be caused by internet routing issues or a server network failure."

From then wiki. You reboot your router? Internet?

Im at college right now so I cant control that stuff but why would it work on my other chars and accounts fine but not this one?

Not all towns and instances run on the same IP address if you notice in the upper left corner, or ping bubble in bottom right. So it could be that some IP's are blocked while others aren't. Slim, but there's still a chance.

Yeah, I'm getting the same issue too. It just started today, and the errors aren't consistent - sometimes I'll be able to load an area and sometimes I won't. You're probably right, it probably does depend on the individual servers you happen to connect to.

So far, I've been unable to connect to:
64.25.39.39
64.25.39.42

I have been able to connect to:
64.25.39.33
64.25.39.43

I've talked with my guildies while I've been on, and they haven't noticed any issues. Maybe the problem is somewhere in the middle?

I'm currently in New York. You wouldn't happen to be around there, would you? =P

Ive had trouble with 64.25.39.50 and 64.25.39.40

It happened on another character trying to get into Kamadan so it must be the towns

I am in the middle of Indiana so I dont think its that

But yeah It must just be the servers or somethin

Also, In general when i first start Guildwars the announcements dont always show up and there is general delay whenever I do something

Bah, I got a speeding ticket in Indiana while I was passing through a couple weeks ago. =P

Incidentally, it looks like I currently can't connect to the Guild Wars support site or the wiki, either (though I've had intermittent access to the wiki throughout the day). In fact, things at *.guildwars.com just don't work (and this is over HTTP), or only work occasionally. I bet some routing table got screwed up somewhere...
