Hello everyone =] I've just came back to guild wars after a year.
When I left the new area with Dhum in UW was still new, his miniature and mini smite crawler was new, the War in Kryta thing was new. I am reading the skill updates on wiki to see what I have missed, but would anyone be so kind to fill me up of what has been happening so I have an easier time of getting back into the game? Any major differences, addons, economy, gameplay changes?
I know it's a lot to ask but would be very helpful =] Thanks in advance and sorry if I'm posting in a wrong thread.

Hmmm, that's quite a long time.

War in kryta is now over, and we have found Keiran Thackeray and finally got him married, that's for storyline. We're still waiting for the Winds of change in Cantha.

Otherwise, probably the major change is the fresh complete reworking of the Dervish profession, which, as a side note, completely changed Asuran scan and By ural's hammer PvE skills that were used A LOT, so we're all still adjusting.

Apart from that, I think the ritualist rework has been made before the Dhuum update or just after, so that shouldn't be new...

We also have a new insight regarding Hall of Monuments. They set up rewards for GW2 which you can unlock by completing your HoM. You will find a link to it on the GW2 website.

Also, there will be seven heroes available in a party eventually, though not in GW 2. GW 2 won't have heroes or henchmen.

Thanks for the replies so far =] Iuris if you are refering to the Signet of spirits and the whole spirit spamming, then yeah I do remember that, still seems to work. New asura scan is a bummer :/ I've also noticed the 5th year minipets etc. Seven heroes sounds very nice indeed. By the way - is there any reason why rubies, sapphires are now worth so much or is it just because not so many people play anymore to add to the supply? [same with ectoplasm]

guild? I am supposed to have a guild?

HoM---you get a point for vabbian armor which requires rubies and sapphires. FOW armor--same thing can be put in your HoM for a point.

sapphires, rubies and ectos took off when the HoM calculator was launched. Everyone wants 50/50

Prices spiked when the hall of monuments was announced and everyone wanted to jump on the boat to finish or get at least 30/50 for the rewards. Prices seemed to have gone down a bit now that the initial demand has passed, but sapphires and rubies still fetch a high price.

HoM calculator most drastically affected the prices of rare materials used in crafting elite armor (Vabbian, Fow, Luxon/Kurzick) and Destroyer weapons, as well as the prices of the weapons themselves (Destroyer/Tormented/Oppressor). Mini prices also shot up considerably, and haven't really settled back to what they were pre-calculator.

Consumable (sweets/party/alcohol) prices have gone down, because we've been showered in them over the past few events.

Oh, and depending on exactly when you played last, you may or may not know that mesmers have gotten a buff. But the recent changes to dervish are far more extreme.

A big update is coming, presumably tomorrow. Embark Beach/7 heroes, along with some potential title changes. It's a good time to come back!
