Mmm...Trade Channel is easier since WTB/WTS are automatically filtered there. Recruiting in the right place is still voluntary.

Xunlai Marketplace was supposed to allow player stalls for selling items. It never finished though, and Embark Beach is what we get instead.

GW 1 will probably never have a Marketplace now. It's for Guild Wars 2.

Hmm, my post didnt post.....

Anyway, I feel like there will need to be a separate chat for each Continent or something....With that many missions there will be HUNDREDS of LFG's for all the different missions and it will be so hard to find...But meh

It's been stated before that the GW1 engine does not support what it takes for an auction house, period. They tried, they reached this conclusion, end of story. No AH for GW1, ever.

Now, if the Live Team can still manage it after all... kudos to them. But IMHO there's other more important stuff they could/should be focusing on.

An auction house and the last few class balances (Para, Ele, Ranger) will finally make this game what it should have been years ago.

But now that the Dervish is updated and we can have 7 heroes, I may just come back for the WoC stuff.

Taking statements like those at face value is naive at best. That's also what they said about character renames and skill splits and makeovers.

they have done some updates that previously was considered impossible or out of the question.. that's why I still feel there's a small glimmer of hope left. Maybe 1 chance in a million.. but hey, if a million players wish it.. maybe it will happen

Very true, well, lets hope for the best, although tbh...a AH now wouldnt really be worth it, unless GW2 wont be out until q3 q4 2012...But Id be happy anyway.

Hopefully it doesn't become a trade hub. mixing all trade in the game with all party searching in the game would be a nightmare. hoping that anet disable trade chat and the trade section of party search. although this won't prevent people from trying to trade through other chats i suppose. hoping that there will be good separation between party searching and trading *sigh* we will see soon enough.

I don't see why trade would be prohibited there, to be honest. ANet will want to see this get as many people there as possible so this outpost catches on in popularity almost instantaneously (and stays that way). Forbidding trade is a big chink in that armor from the get-go, IMO.

I do think ANet won't have a lot of patience with chat spammers early on to make sure the outpost doesn't become a mad house. If trade is allowed, I'd be sure and use the trade channel for it.

I'm betting people will call it ebay beach

and as you said embargo if trading was disabled there, which I too don't see happening at all.

I would say yes, it should be the new trade hub because all versions pass threw that location in game.... but the same can be said about GTOB... thats just a hub for z-keys

Well it probably will become the new trade hub.. Imo it is a shame that there wasn't some sort of trade restriction put in place for it. Since signing on tonight all that is there is trade...no grouping...just trading.....very demoralizing

It's brand new. Lots of players don't use guru, or wiki. Lots of players don't even go to GTOB. Even if they do, what's to say they'll notice or care about that little button called Embark Beach? Especially right off the bat. Less than 24 hours after it's introduced and you're drawing conclusions because people are there simply checking it out, doing the easiest ZM ever alone, or using 7 hero parties?

Eventually things will settle down, people will start working on legendary guardian/vanquisher again, and they'll go to EB because there are other people there. OR they'll just use 7 heroes. Who really cares what anyone else does?

@ OP

I really hope not, if it does I hope the devs implement something to stop it...maybe like, remove trade chat all together in that area.
