Is this game worth buying?

I am thinking about buying this game, but im wondering if its worth playing

If so i intend to play an assassin, I am pvp fiend and im wondering if pvping deems any reward in this game and what the combat is like

No one can really tell you if it is good or not. All I can say is most here like it. Many love it.

I loved Guild Wars and played it for years. I play other games now, but played GW exclusively for quite a long time.

Seeing as how you can get the complete set for $40 USD, it's definitely still worth it. If you want to excel at pvp, then you will need a good understanding of all of the professions, not just one that you intend on playing. The game's large pool of skills and fast combat (compared to some other rpgs) mean that there is a considerable learning curve but mastering the skills and mechanics are what make the game fun and long lasting imo.

Look up guild wars wiki for more info or youtube some pvp videos for gameplay.
