Survivor for the Gung-Ho Types

i already have 3 LS toons gotten the hard way, so my gameplay had already changed before this. i'm not really planning on getting LS on my main, but if it just so happens now, so be it.
my main (first) toon was my learning toon, i never expected for it to be uber awesome in the first place (but yet i still prefer her over my other toons). i racked up a lot of deaths when i first got into post (kinda rushed thru pre), but they were all new lessons learned. over the years i have adjusted my style for better pulling, knowing thine enemies, etc.. which is how i got my other 3 up to LS.

will the change to survivor really make a difference for me? not really, survivor title has not been that important to me since my first LS, so if my main happens to get it, it would just be a bonus.

Suicide is too awesome an option to give it up for a silly title. That's why I'm more aggressive now and try to kill stuff even faster so the enemy doesn't have time to kill me

My war has a pet, the pet dies first, always, so if things get too heavy, I'll have a great indicator. But Burd only died in UW so far.

My main never had a chance to do survivor, and I know exactly what I am going to do.

In Tyria, ive got all the side quests done. I am going to go to cantha and elona and do the same there. No farming, no leroy-ing, just plain old grindy questing. Will give me a chance to really learn cantha and elona like i do tyria.

I'll get survivor in this way:

I'll do a ton of quests and don't care if I die along the way (of course I'll try not to).
I wait with obtaining the quest rewards untill I got plenty. I'll then cash in all the experience from the rewards at once. What's left to farm I'll probably do with dwarven boxing.

IF I decide to try for it with my main, I'll do it by doing Z-missions, bounties, and vanquishes. I'll also tackle the "Wanted" quests. Plus, I'll spend a lot of time vanquishing in the Jade Sea area to build up my Luxon Title as well. FoW may get visited a few times with Guildies IF I decide to go for it.

I'm with this guy ... my main is a warrior, and I got a HUGE Kilroy complex ... I don't think I'm ever going to get this title ...

im happy that i can get survivor on my main character (war) who is also my only pre-survivor title character.

haven't quite decided how to do it yet. i was thinking fowsc but my guild mostly uses dwg spikers, so probably just box my way to glory

I did that just now. Less than 2 hours using cheap Rampager's Insight Scrolls with my monk.

Anet made Legendary Survivor a joke to get.

It took months to get it on my Warrior with careful, thoughtful play. I'm also pissed at the drunkard title nerfed down to a spam title. The next title nerf is due to be buyable titles in the online store.

Nothing like undercutting titles people worked hard for.

Right... So much effort in buying kath hammers or boxing before the title update. Clearly sooo much easier now that the price of scrolls and hammers skyrocketed...
Survivor was made a joke with EotN release, what it changes now is that char created before titles were introduced get a chance a it.

Yeah...that 15K on blue merch fodder scrolls made it sooooo hard to get. :P

The point is, you can goof around until you find something that is fool proof, and score the title.

A far better solution would be have all titles be account wide. Then at least, if you muxed up....you would have to reroll. This change just hands out this title like candy on halloween.

main died at 1.287mil originally due to a lag disconnect.

Gonna box it in a month of so after vqing (or maybe in-between as a break, I'll cross that hurdle when i come to it )

I've been doing vanquishes and finishing up my HM books. Once I get all the books completed, that's 450,000 XP right there that I won't turn in until my character is at 887,500 XP, I'll turn in all the books and finish survivor.

I'm too scared, just boxing. I got 20% of the way there in a few hours, it's not that bad.

You could always "goof" around on chars that already had a death record till you found a fool proof method and then enacted said method on the char that wanted LS. Survivor was a joke to get before this update. It's still a joke to get now. Survivor is a joke. It never had any value, but I'm sure the GuildWarriors will tell you otherwise.

My rit is halfway to leg survivor. She has already beaten HM UW/FoW legitly with balanced groups. Screw the bullshit, I don't play this the pussy way. Like hell I'll do that boxing crap.

yeah this is something I'll have to figure out, my main is a War who has legendary everything, so zm/zb/zv won't move any tracks along other than Survivor, so it's sorta hard to get motivated doing it that way.

Maybe I'll have to read about this boxing thing I've heard about for so long. I don't want to pay for Kath hammers, and don't want to do it via some exp farming method.

Im doing HM snow wurms with xp scrolls, they go down fast and yield nice xp

I've always been a careful puller, and my past year and a half in WoW probably only made me more cautious. That's not to say I don't have a ton of deaths racked up on my characters, but in general I'm a fan of not dying.

So I'll just bring the paranoia up a notch, I guess. My main is midway through her second Skill Hunter title, so I'll do that and maybe vanq my way through it; that should do it if I'm careful.

i got leg survivor on my warrior from playing through the game carefully, and skill capping, extra quests, and scrolls
i was lucky, dont think i had to map out once.

lost it with a necro on mox quests (hit for 900+damage!) @ rank2, and i have a assassin whose just got rank 2 now, i did pay for a run vs shiro tho , helped out a lil with celestial skill

i got leg survivor 4 times the normal way. ie- playing the game with carefull pulling capping and skill grinding. if if could drag my self to my exmain derv i would go for title but meh.

edit: this is a cool way for those that played since 05. but for those that spent like xxx money on skill caps,scrolls extra im not to keen on spending all that money again. plus with runes going up >< ugh
