FoW with 3 players + 4 heroes

I'm gonna try to do FoW NM (or HM if it's easy enough) with 2 friends and heroes, they are 1 rit and 1 sin or derv, and I can run Necro, ele, warr, sin, ranger and para.
Now I got some questions:
- What's better between sin and derv for the human player?
- What builds should we run?
- What heroes (and builds) should we take?
- Is it possible to do it in HM?
- Are there points where we need to split up? (like 4h quest in uw)

You can not directly ask for builds post your ideas on what your thinking then we can help.

Two suggestion Wiki and guru have some great things on FoW and (HM) is simple, but if this is your first run stick to normal mode for now. There's a couple of ways in doing the griffon's and last night I completed FoW (HM) with just hereos.

well, I don't need any particular build, I just need to know what heroes to take.

I did FoW last night with me + 7 heroes (NM) having never done FoW before. I also found it quite easy, though it took me ages because I had never done it before and had to retrace my steps several times. So if you're doing this for the challenge, then since you have 3 players you might want to give HM a try first.

There aren't any places where you need to split up, just remember to check the wiki before accepting each quest, and read the whole article. Some quests spawn enemies/npcs when they are accepted and if your team is not ready for this it could cause a wipe.

I didn't run anything very interesting, just what I've been running since the update:

Panic with PwK and some other Rt heal
MM bomber with prot skills (very important to watch agro with minions, esp. in HM)
SS necro (maybe had some prot skills)
SoS rit
2 SF eles (not shadow form, searing flames. probably not the best choice but fun)
UA with party heals

I'm an ele and perhaps could have had something better but I went B surge with chain lightning + lightning orb etc. I really do like B surge because it's very easy to take no damage from melee.

Having only done it once I can't offer much advice, but I will say that you might want to get the quest "The Hunt" early on. It requires you to kill some Shard Wolves which are scattered around lots of places, so if you get it near the end you will need to retrace your steps a lot. For this reason and others, it might be nice to take Fall Back or something.

I'v done FoW long time ago (like 2-3 years ago) and I don't remember anything, but I'll check the wiki for the quests.
We're doing this in HM, if it's too difficult we'll switch to nm.

Good luck. Your team setup looks quite good imo. I'd like to stress again, though, to be careful when pulling and when starting quests. If you only ever aggro one mob at a time I don't see why you would fail, so remember to bring a longbow and flag your heroes back.

Leave the griffon's till last to be sure your team doesn't seem to bad just BE careful where your group stands and when in the burning forest be very careful to pull and not to over aggro.

Make sure you have enough Hex/condition removal other wise your healers we be dead in the energy pool line appoint one puller the pull draws on the map where to stand can make things useful.

May i ask why everybody is bringing Panic + SS since panic prevents triggers from SS? SS still triggers on attacks ofcourse but i feel like SS is suboptimal here. And since heroes aren't that great in using it, they will put SS on foes who you call (they will go down first and therefore SS will get even less triggers).

Heroes use this skill on attacking foes only but u already got ineptitude mesmer.

Correct me if i'm wrong but don't Wandering Eye, Clumsiness, Signet of Clumsiness and Mistrust prevent SS from triggering?

I would say E Surge or Roj packs much more damage.

I did FoW nm with just myself controlling 2 accounts, 2 characters + 6 heroes, no cons. That was before the 7-heroes update, but as a result I got statues for both my accounts at the same time.

It is quite easy as long as you have a decent build and you know the quests.

This is what I used. Note that my passive player is a monk spirit spammer because I rested my other keyboard on my lap and just pressed 1-2-3 etc without the need to target.



Since you don't have any passive player in your team, I am sure you can easily make a more powerful team from this.

my friend and i did HM in ~50mins with 2 human + 6 heros
He was a/w dagger sy spammer, heros: ua prot, ua healer, inept,panic, jagged mm and an SS. I went as an a/e terra.

my roles were: pop camp + do slaves quest, open forge, do slaves of menzies
q, take hunt, do cave + beach wolf, prep khobay, do khobay, do burning wolf, do ToS prep, go send mage myself, do seeds whilst mage sends then kill shadow lord, i then helped main team do griffs.

During this time my friend did: tower of courage, killed battlefield wolf/did forge, took quests, cleared lightning forest + killed lightning wolf then did griffs q with some of my help.

Sadly, i lagged out whilst at ToS and died so my friend had to spike to ToS to get me (which is why it took 50 mins) but with no deaths it can be a ~1 con set run :P My suggestion would be to run something like this (idk if you are experienced terra in fow or not though) and get third friend to play instead of a hero bar

I would say E Surge or Roj packs much more damage. I think you have a point, E surge or RoJ could be more effective, but I don't think Panic reduces SS effectiveness that much (except if it is placed on the enemy that dies first). My reasoning is although it does stop spells from activating, this means enemies autocast more often (or at least it seems like that to me). So I think the autocasting boosts the damage otherwise last from less spells. I'll be trying something else next time anyway.

We just completed it in 2 hours, it was a fish in barrel lol
We finished it without even dying, next time we'll go hard mode
