Any/A Vaettir Farmer
WarcryOfTruth
Hehe, helping a Ranger friend get Survivor, so I came up with this for her to use, they die slowly, but it works with a bonder, Balthazar's Spirit is all that is needed, so enjoy. The build is good for any profession, but of course certain professions already have their own more efficient farming methods for it.
I can't do one of those fancy template things on a website, so here are the skills:
Radiation Field
Alkar's Alchemical Acid
Ebon Battle Standard of Wisdom
Way of the Master
Way of Perfection
Shroud of Distress
Deadly Paradox
Shadow Form
Self-explanatory, but I'm sure people can come up with other ways to modify this into something better. But as far as I'm concerned, this is good for any profession .
And of course, do not forget the Bonder.

Ok, imo this is NOT good for any profession. Sure you can swap out the 12 Expertise for say, 12 SR, you're not going to be very proficient with the weapon you're wielding. As a Necro, that build would be useless for me. I'm hardly going to be dealing awesome damage with my wand/staff, even worse without points in Marksmanship. Alkar's is a skill that's good against Destroyers but is a projectile, therefore can miss. Light of Deldrimor would be a better choice if you want AoE non-profession specific damage. WotM at only 3% is a waste too. There's probably more but those are the major flaws I'm seeing from just looking at the build straight away.
So yeah, you've essentially come up with a good R/A build for Vaetirrs, although I can't really comment on that as I don't have a Ranger to test it on. I can say right away that for a caster, it sucks.

so please explain to me why you don't use whirling defence?
WarcryOfTruth
The enchantments are to make Shadow Form reduce damage taken to 0. Wisdom is to make Radiation Field and Acid recharge faster to spam them more. I picked Acid over Light of Deldrimor because of Shadow Form's damage cap, the reduced recharge makes it a better choice. Radiation Field kills slowly, at -6 degen for 5 seconds with a 12 recharge, but with Wisdom up you can maybe get it to recharge in 6 seconds so it will still have some downtime, but because they can only heal by casting a spell, and with Shadow Form you prevent that, it works well, the only down side being slow. Energy should not be an issue if you have Balthazar's Spirit up. The most important thing is to of course maintain Shadow Form.
I wasn't going to type out a full tutorial on how to farm Vaettirs because I figured those that have done it would appreciate it, and those that weren't sure would ask someone who did. But, you use Deadly Paradox and then Shadow Form, cast your other enchantments, run around and ball them up, they attack in melee so they will ball super easily. Alkar's Acid will never miss them since they are melee.
Edit:

They are melee, Whirling Defense only deals damage if you block a projectile.

Radiation field is sort of wasted skill - they only get slight degen at start.
And stating you take zero dmg from the skills you use - welcome to the world of using sf - us a/me , a/mo , me/a , mo /a , n/a , a/n , p/a , a/d and lastly d/a can all farm vaetires and take zero dmg .There was a r/a build already out ( one of the pvx sites had it i think ) and it relied on splash dmg from using err its the prep skill that deals exploding arrows and not the burning one ( too early in morning for brain to work correctly ).
-6 degen for the few secs at start and vaetires being non fleshy .. not really worth it sadly.
The r/a ive seen doesnt rely on a bonder hero and tbh i almost fell asleep when i tried it - slow wasnt the word

no Katee i'm NOT calling you a troll. If i am or did sorry. just a lot of builds and threads go bad because people seem to think PVX trumps everything. But i love to see threads and test other ppls builds and tweak them to my style.

Firstly players are more interested in farming vaetires quick - its because of event farming you want speed.
Pvx is only gd for ideas and then improving those ideas - generally both pvx`s suck as they have died and more players are putting builds on here where the critisim doesnt rule by " what works the fastest and we have 2 of those builds already so no more".
If you post on guru you have to take critism - good or bad and i was only stating my views and the slow part was from r/a using a prep build and if you tried survivor on that you may as well go vacation for a few weeks.
Necros can farm vaeitres with or without a bonder and cause aoe dmg , i made a build which in view of how long it took to kill the first mob - wasnt worth it and was only slightly faster on a/n.
Lastly -someone about a yr ago posted a thread on a 3 hero bond setup on which they did survivor in a few hrs and thru the bonds had no dmg.Im sure if that can be found a player can go /e and use the ar ignoring aoe dmg and get their 60 kills faster.Remember the heros are bonders so out of aggro and you get full xp.
If your after survivor then safest way and probably even slower is hm wurms outside boreal with degen or ranged dmg - wurms dont attack and you do the 10 , not even lag / disconnect will kill you ( i got thru it with 2.5k ping on a bad laggy day ).

Shroud of Distress (optional)
Lyssa's Haste
Heart of Holy Flame
Signet of Pious Light
Balthazar's Rage
Whirling Charge (optinal)
12 wind, 14 myst, 12 shadow (using sups)
Keep up lyssas haste, cast HoHF and strip it with signet. It causes 5s burning and recharges in 6. Use Rage to cover the downtime on burn. Whirling charge to run to the zone and gather up mobs faster.
I'm running life barrier/bond/balthz' spirit. Also the mending auras in case I let SF drop a few seconds. Better safe than dead. As is it doesn't have quite enough defense for solo farming, but this could be done with attacker's insight or something.

You guys do know this thread was for a build I posted that can be used by any Primary Profession. You both pinged builds that are R/A or A/R and D/A respectively. It was to help a friend find a build she can use easily to farm her Survivor title. It just so happens that the 3 skills she is using works for any profession. Keep on topic
Spiritz
point was most propfessions can already farm vaetires - sadly using sf as main elite ( does mean a few chrs require a hero bonder ) so was on topic as they are any/a and your build is 5/8 sin and 3/8 eotn title skills.
The problem with vaettires is their high ar - its uber high against any ele dmg and quite high against all weapon types.Only ar ignoring aoe , pbaoe or degen/lifesteal/burning works and thats where you stumble into problems. If you use the sf route then you can be limited to needing a bonder hero for energy / only 1 or 2 skills for causing dmg/degen - like the para/sin burning build.Often what you do get buildwise isnt always that efficient/gd/fast and more than often your going to hate the build.
Also the build really depends on that player getting high ranks in eotn for the 3 skills to work properly - fine if you have high titles already but not for a new chr , nothing worse than wanting to farm and finding out you need xx skill thats got from almost end of eotn and you need rank 8 for it to work.I can start a new ele and within 3 hrs have her farming vaetires with no title skills and without having to do eotn for rank/skills.

The reason I noted the ranger one was b/c your friend was a ranger....Ofc there is: which can be used by any prof having no titles, but there's no reason to when u have better/more fun/more interesting options.
If using a bonder hero one might as well take advantage of mutiple enchants. Life Barrier+life bond basically frees up every slot on ones bar besides SF and dp/sq to hasten killing. Might as well bring Soh, Ess bond, blessed sig, with balth while we are at it. Making the basic /Any vatteir builds to look like:
with options to fill in the rest to taste

With the first mob at 36, I've been able to get it down to the first mob dying in 3 minutes. YES as it was stated it is a SLOW run but a safe run for all levels of experience in farming. The hero that I bring is one that has balth spirit and EoE. with EoE they die much quicker and my timing of skill chains has gotten better. My deaths have occured due to me not paying attention to my enchants or forgetting to disable the bond on my hero. This run wasn't about drop rates or golds or glacial stones, etc. It was about me getting my title for survivor in less time than I thought I would.

A safe run would indicate nothing can go wrong. If you lagg or DC, you might die.
Point being: If you want to create a safe way of getting survivor on any character, you should try and use the current existing ways as a baseline. Those being farming those wurms and buying Kath Hammers.
Improving on Kath Hammers is ez since kath hammers requires big money.
Improving on wurms is hard because it's 100% safe, cheap and it gives decent experience.
So the speed of the build does matter, otherwise you're just creating a worse, less secure way of wurm-farming...

So the speed of the build does matter, otherwise you're just creating a worse, less secure way of wurm-farming... that is YOUR point. NOT Mine. For me it is safe, if i fear lag or dc I don't farm. I haven't had any problems with lag. I refuse to pay for hammers to get the title. and wurms is more boring then farming the vaettir's. For me this works. For YOU it may not. This was never meant as a this is safer then your build thread. Aside from the fact that seems like you're saying that I'm not allowed to use my brain or that my friend isn't allowed to use his brain to help me farm the title. As stated, for ME this is safe, it's easy. and for me time isn't a factor in the sense that it will take me less time then the way I WAS going to do the title. Other's may also find this build to be an easy way for them, it may even be a build that someone with less experience at farming will say hey yes they say it's slow but it worked for her, i'll give it a shot.

I don't know where the discussion is heading right now cuz i haven't read it all.
But as far as Ranger and Vaettir-Farming goes:
Deadly Paradoxon
Shadow Form
Way of Perfection
Storm Chaser
EBSoH
Snow Storm
Radiation Field
Death's Charche
+ shield +10AR against Earth-dmg (that and your +30 gg elemental will allway get you 0 dmg.)
Just make sure you cast Way of Perfection within deadly Paradaxon and recast it with evry Shadow Form
Cast 1, 2, 3, and 4, Aggro all the Vaettirs, stuck the mob in a corner, do dmg with EBSoH, Snow Storm and Radiation Field, klick scrol just be4 killing the mob. within 3 hours you have your legendary surv.

Kosar The Cruel
Tried this out on my Dervish and it's quite effective. I can usually clear both sides in ~5mins. Even with the one hero I'm getting a good number of gold items.
I run: Shadow Arts: 12 Mysticism: 12+1+1 Deadly Arts: 3 Max Deldrimor & Asuran
-Deadly Paradox
-Shadow Form
-Shroud of Distress
-Balthazar's Rage (For burning)
-Heart of Holy Flame (For burning)
-Eremite's Attack (PBAoE)
-Radiation Field
-Alkar's Alchemical Acid
On the Prot/Smite Monk I run:
-Life Barrier
-Life Bond
-Strength of Honor
-Balthazar's Spirit
-GoLE
-Blessed Signet
The reason for Strength of Honor is for the PBAoE effect I can get when using Eremite's Attack. And when used with Heart of Holy Flame I get burning + PBAoE 21dmg. Works quite well. 600k+ towards Survivor.
Thanks WarcryOfTruth.

does ebon battle standard really help that much with damage capped at 21 from Shadow Form (12)? At rank 0 AAA does 40 damage which is over the 21 cap so I can't see it adding any damage?
EDIT: was curious about EBSoH in the above post so I just went and tested it on my sin. EBSoH does not add any damage to Alkars Alchemical Acid or Snow Storm at all as I expected as Shadow Form caps your non primary sin damage at 21.
You'd be better off with Snow Storm / Alkar's Alchemical Acid / Radiation Field for more damage.

Does anyone know of a faster and sure way to farm vaettir with a ritualist main if its possible, I'm still a newb at how builds work so I don't really get far with this one, if anyone can lead me into the right direction I'd really appreciate it.

Worked some more on my Necro version and this one is far faster then before.

Equipment: a +2 or +3 blood head piece.
Require a 20% enchant item to keep SF up constantly. Spear/Totem Axe/Razjan's frevor/caster weapon works perfectly. Shield will reduce damage a bit too making run safer, add in a +10 vs earth if you really want to go overboard
Information:
Demonic Flesh will do 19 damage to all adjacent foes any time you cast a directly targeted spell on a foe, so it will activate on AAA & DP. Dark Aura will deal 23 (reduced to 21 from SF) to all adjacent foes and you lose 11 health any time you sacrifice life, which is triggered by DP.
Dark Pact sacrifices 10% of your life to deal 45 damage to a single target for the cost of 1 energy (important later on) and triggers DA & DF. Also has a 2 second recharge so is very spammable.
So AAA triggers DF for 19+21 damage aoe.
DP triggers DF & DA. 19+21 damage aoe and 21 to a single target for 11 hp.
Life Sacrifice?! Are you crazy?!! With 5 pips of regen you'll only be spamming DP about 3 or 4 times before needing to recast Shadow form and Radiation field/Alkar's. During this time you will regen to near full health and even if you did manage to get down to 50% health or lower shroud of distress would kick your regen up to 10 pips.
Dark Pact is also great for finishing off singular left over vaettir and allows you to keep Deadly Paradox and Shadow Form going (20 energy cast). You can also easily kill a small group of 4 if you have a bad pull and want to kill every vaettir there.
Counters:
Getting too far from bonder and losing all your bonds....yousa gonna die!
Not keeping up Shadow Form correctly.
Forgetting to recast Dark Aura (slows run down)
Notes/Usage:
Remember to cast Life Barrier before Life Bond Let your Bonder use Blessed Signet for energy between bonding casts. Your bonder does not need to have Balthazar's on them. Blessed Signet can keep energy up just fine on its own. Cast SoD > DParadox > SF after bonds Gather Foes & rebuff SF Cast Buffs > Rad Field > Alkars > Dark Pact > Dark Pact (maybe 3rd one) Refresh SF & any expired buffs Repeat till foes are dead.
Thanks to the OP for the basic idea for any class.
EDIT: this is a bit faster as you get 2x dark aura proc per sacrifice you do, due to masochism. Bit more dangerous but if you pay attention you'll be fine.... Thanks to Foxbat for that info.

12 Shadow Arts, 11+1+2 Blood Magic, 6 Death Magic, 2+3 Soul Reaping
Deadly Paradox
Shadow Form
Shroud of Distress
Demonic Flesh
Masochism
Dark Aura
Alkar's Alchemical Acid OR Radiation Field OR Oppressive Gaze (if no pve skills)
Dark Pact
Equipment: requires a superior soul reaping rune on any armor part. and a +2 or +3 blood head piece.
Require a 20% enchant item to keep SF up constantly. Spear/Totem Axe/Razjan's frevor/caster weapon works perfectly. Shield will reduce damage a bit too making run safer, add in a +10 vs earth if you really want to go overboard

I've actually had a guildie running a variant of the monk bonder bar with good success.
It's a Mo/R bar with Essence Bond replacing Signet of Devotion and Serpent's Quickness replacing "Fall Back!" (very useful as he doesn't have Nightfall/Factions). I've been tinkering trying to find a replacement for Radiation Field but nothing yet has come to light for me :/ I don't really want to spec into Curses. Snow Storm was of limited effectiveness as I ended up with some scatter (was hoping it'd take them down quicker and the scatter wouldn't be too bad).

You want masochism in there, it will proc dark aura a second time. Sup runes should let your soul reaping get high enough.

Thanks to the OP for the basic idea for any class. How fast does each run take for you? Oh and thanks for the detailed setup/build.. much apprieciated.
WarcryOfTruth
I will say this again. None of the builds anyone have posted follow the title of the thread. The title is Any/A, meaning ANY PRIMARY PROFESSION can run the bar. The original post is the only post that has a bar that meets those requirements. Stop posting builds that require a particular primary.
