Commander Ryker
This quest is in Presear in order to become a ranger or ranger secondary you have to get the Stalker. I have a level 9 bear and do not want to get rid of it for a stalker so I cannot have the ranger secondary until I do. I would like to see this changed to any charmable animal.

But apparently Nente doesn't like my hearty stalker now because he won't give me the reward.

Nate will only accept an unevolved stalker for the reward. However, as you gain the skills prior to capturing a pet you do not need to complete it to become a ranger primary. Never tried it as a secondary.

You do need it to be able to accept ranger as secondary. Without it we can still use the three initial rnger skills but cannot gain others and can not put points into ranger skills. Heal pet is pretty crappy on level 15 with nothing in beast mastery. Oh well.
