Earth Shaker - Dervish

I have not played Dervish yet, so I do not have a build to offer - nor am I asking for one. I am merely asking is there any particular reason why a dervish should NOT wield a hammer? Yes, they cannot go beyond 12. However, Earth Shaker does not require a high attribute commitment. From what I have been told, and will probably be told again: the main reason is simply because the scythe is better for the dervish. Thoughts?

If you're going to build a bar around KD's you really do want Stonefist. It would work,how well I don't know but it seems like a waste since Dervishe's are loved by anet currently.

There are a couple variants in this thread for Reaper's Sweep. Perhaps you can try those out and tell us how they worked for you.

If you really wanted to use a hammer (for fun rather than efficiency) you could throw Earthbind onto a Communing spirit spammer. That way all knockdowns caused by your team will last 3 seconds, with the added bonus of being able to knockdown large foes that wouldn't normally be affected.
