Hello, I understand this build may have been posted before, but I was messing around with the Obby Flesh build.. And came up with this one.

1st off I am missing EoTN, but have access to all others. This build doesn't use any EoTN skills. It is very effective, but I feel it may be a little slow.

I'm using this to farm Stalking spider things outside Sunspear Great Hall in HM, for the upcoming event. (Clovers/Shamrocks).

-Skill's-

1. Protective Spirit.
2. Stoneflesh Aura.
3. Armor of Earth.
4. Shielding Hands.
5. Silver Armor.
6. Aftershock.
7. Crystal Wave.
8. Balthazar's Spirit.



-How I'm Using It.-

1. Soon as I zone in cast Balth on myself.
2. Run to the edge of the group [Without Agro'ing].
3. Cast Armor of Earth, Stoneflesh Aura, Prot Spirit [Respectivly].
4. Run in, agro all, as soon as stoneflesh is about to drop cast shielding hands on myself [Fordowntime of Stoneflesh, which gives enough time to recast Stoneflesh].
5. Recast all enchants.
6. Run around the rock to ball the group.
7. Get into the middle of group.
8. Step 4 and 5 again.
9. Cast Siver/Aftershock/Crystal.
10. Repeat 8,9 till dead.
Any ideas on how to kill them faster? Step 9 is ok but usually only drops them to about 25% health. :/

Im not sure what rune set-up you are using, but if you run 16 earth magic, you can maintain stoneflesh with an enchanting weapon, which means you can drop armor of earth and shielding hands. If I were to do this, I would use something like this...
1. Protective Spirit
2. Stoneflesh Aura
3. Glyph of Renewal {e}
4. Sliver Armor
5. crystal wave
6. tenais crystals
7. aftershock
8. balthazar spirit

run
12+1+3 earth magic
11 protection prayers
6 energy storage

Basically use the exact same strategy as you have been, just with more damage output. Make sure to recast prot spirit RIGHT before you recast stoneflesh so that you can maintain 0 damage taken. Use glyph of renewal with sliver in order to keep it going all the time. Spam the PBAoE's as much as energy allows

One thing that slows you down these days is sliver - pre nerf it used to cut thru foes like a knife thru butter as it stayed on 1 target but now it jumps target each time spreading out the dmg instead of focusing it.
You say your want to event farm and im going to assume your doing hm - as daft as this sounds you may be better doing normal mode.Its down to the time factor and if ONLY after event drops you can probably farm entire map in nm quicker than to do several hm runs and you dont need a special build - hell its nm with low lvl foes and any nuke build works

Thanks for the build info fire, will check that out soon. Will have to cap Glyph. And yes I like the x-factor of being in HM xD, Gold's drop usually 1 every other run which will net me more gold in the long run so why not. xD

Fire, that build worked perfect, always took 0 DMG. But.. (I knew this would happen).. Drops really dropped off after farming it 40 or so times, don't get me wrong in those 40 runs, I got about 15 golds, 1 black dye, and some event items. Which isn't bad, but I feel there must be a better place to use this build, with more enemies. These Stalkers don't run from the AoE from my skills which is nice, I tried using it on Mountain Trolls outside Drok's, which failed epicly, because they rupted StoneFlesh everytime, I even tried using Glyph of Renewal on it and in the middle of me casting Prot->Glyph->Stoneflesh, I would take enough DMG from the trolls to drop me. D:

I also tried the build on Mino's outside Ice Tooth Cave, I could tank them all outhere and take no DMG, but when I used silver/Crystal, they ran away unlike the Stalkers did.

If there is any other places anyone think's this might work on, I would like to know, to go test it out. xD

Until then though I will stick to the stalkers, thanks everyone.

Ok, first, why do you have these?

3. Armor of Earth.
4. Shielding Hands.

Those are a waste of 2 spaces. With protective spirit and stoneflesh, you should never take any damage, unless you lose your enchantments, or if you have more than 330hp, or lower than 16 earth magic...

Something is going wrong if you are carrying those skills. Prot spirit reduces all damage to 33, because you have 330 (or less) health. Stoneflesh aura further reduces that damage by 33. So, you should never take more than 0 damage. And because of this, there's no need to bring anything but protective spirit and stoneflesh aura to reduce damage.

So... what's going on?

^ This, right here, is your problem. You have to cast prot spirit BEFORE stoneflesh. If you cast them backwards, it won't work properly.

Imagine you get attacked, and this attack would originally do 333 damage. There are two paths the damage can take. It can hit stoneflesh first, and prot spirit second, or prot spirit first and stoneflesh second.

If it hits stoneflesh first, it will be reduced to 300, and then prot spirit will reduce that 300 down to 33.

If it hits prot spirit first, it will be reduced to 33, and then stoneflesh will reduce that 33 down to 0.

So, which is preferable? Taking 33 damage or taking 0 damage? Obviously, you want to take 0 instead of 33. That's why you ALWAYS have to cast prot spirit before you cast stoneflesh aura. You never want to reverse the order.

Just go into random areas, walk around, and see if you get killed. A lot of the time, you won't. There's a new farming spot.

I like to use it to kill Jade Brotherhood in Waijun Bazaar (stay away from the mesmers...) and the Kirins and Wardens in Pongmei Valley. But it works in MANY areas.

Just avoid any enemies that have interrupts or knockdowns. And always cast your prot spirit before you cast stoneflesh.

You can deal with health degeneration (bleeding, mesmer hexes, etc.) by bringing shield of regeneration. You can prevent having you enchantments stripped by bringing glyph of swiftness and obsidian flesh.
