This sounds interesting. I think the enterance fee would be better solved in knowing exactly what challenges would be done, like narrow it down to vanquishes, title seeking (survivor), quantity of items to be scavanged. things like that, not exactly the specifics but a general idea.

Well I don't want to give away the specifics of the challenges but they will be designed to take anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours. They won't be things that will last days. However, I would suggest you be a pretty experienced player because the many of the challenges will require that and the choices you make in voting others off will as well. For example if your team has 1 monk, if might not be a good idea to vote him/her off as one of the later challenges may require a healer. I will, however say that most of the challenges will not be things that the actual guild wars game requires you to do such as vanquishes or title hunting.
