4h during a Heroway run
Xerelin
Hey, everyone. This is my first thread here on the GW guru. I've been active on the GW2G for a bit, but I'm a noob here, I apologize in advance lol.
Anyway, I've gotten the UW statue in my hall a while back, but I've got a real small guild that hasn't ever done it. (I'm the only one that regularly speedclears and know the quests)
We picked up the UW Heroway team build off the PvX and got the team put together for it.
Using the build have done all the quests, but not all at once. But mainly I had a question about the 4H.
How do you complete that quest with only one Tank, and is it possible for the E/Mo to help tank one side?
Ideally, I would grab two horsemen and run to the other side and grab the other two and tank them in the middle, letting the skeles run for the reaper where the team waits to kill them, but I admit I'm not a fantastic tank. (I can SS and E/Mo in speedclears; no T's)
Any help would be fantastic, Thanks.

Have the team kill one side while the tank blocks the other. I've heard that E/Mo's are capable of tanking, however when I went through, I had better luck when the Reaper was actually protted and acted as the tank. This way allowed the team to stay closer together for heals.

Doing 4H with a full team you can:
1-split 4/4 and kill anything comes from the two sides(for this 2 tanks are probably the best setup tough)
2-have one dedicated tank that hold a side while the other 7 members takes care of other. When finished, they come to opposite side and clear mobs tanked.
(ER can't tank here, cause afaik there's ench stripping. Ench strip for ER = Death.)
3-group around the reaper and camp him killing anything comes ultra-fast and protting the reaper.

Flag all your heroes at Ghozer's spawn spot.
Take quest and stand at reaper.
The heroes kill Ghozer's Group. You teleport to anywhere and immediately teleport back to plains. This makes it 1 less group you have to fight.
With 3 groups instead of 4, it is a big difference.
If you have more than one human. just have one guy take quest, the rest stand at Ghozer, then teleport twice. its like everyone having recall.
same concept with humans. pick the human that is needed least. A Prot Bond Emo for example works well because you can keep up enchants because you will still be in range.

Is there a way to pull both sides towards the middle and let the Skeles run past. I can tank the 4H and the Dryders indefinitely, but more than one skele and I hit the dirt (as there's no way to LOS them out there.
Also, There are actually 4 players and 4 heros.
I'm a terra
We have an SoS, E/Mo, and a Keystone Sig rupter.

never had any problems on it, i usualy bring 1 sos hero.. not using any sort of tank.. i just place spirits on 1 side ( 2 pairs of spirits with enough distance so they don't disappear).
Then i flag heroes on other side and activate the quest. I run there kill a few guys, then take half of the heroes with me on the other side.
Works just fine but abit of flagging micro at the fight is required

You cannot pull both horsemen groups to the middle of plains - they don't pull that far (I only ever tested this with the old SF, so it might be possible now).
However if you go pools side and hold the horsemen for a bit then recall out, you can catch the pits side and pull them behind the reaper monument, then catch the delayed pools side and hold everything with 1 tank. I wouldn't really recommend this though because it is very close to the reaper and its easy for him to accidentally get aggro.

I have done 4H NM with a friend and 6 heroes before. We just camped near reaper and let both waves come at us. He was imba, I was FD mes, we had E/Mo hero which I controlled to heal reaper if required. We simply flagged heroes in a line near the reaper, killing foes on either side until all were dead. This was achieved using a conset which made it easier...but it is certainly doable.

I've never just let them run at the reaper before; seemed kinda dangerous. How hard is it to keep the reaper up when doing that strategy? At that point there's not really a safety net if one of the players fall over.

Take the 4h quest and rush to the Pits side spawns and quickly kill one horseman. Once one is dead, run back to the reaper and the Pools side spawn will be approaching. Kill that mob.
After killing one horseman at the Pits side you'll have spirits and minions which will stall the rest of the mob and cause them to waste their Meteor Showers so that when they reach the reaper, they're a reduced threat.

We successfully did it last night, but as I was off compass from the main part of the fighting, seeing those health bars move up and down was kinda worrisome.
but thanks for the tips about fighting near the reaper, it worked great.

Have the tank on either side agro the dryders and horses and he lets the skeles go by to the reaper where all the others will camp and kill the other side and the 2 skeles from the other side
Btw the emo cant tank 4h

That'd work great if we had two tanks. as it stands, I'm the only one who can take one side and that's it.
On a side note. the E/Mo burning the skeles to death was very lolzy.

If u don't have a tank on one side, u just can put http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Ward_Against_Foes on the left side near the dead tree and super fast kill the right side foes.
This strategy works if u slow them enough and have one player putting the ward right when the left side foes are coming. But it requires experience and knowledge of the quest
