Error = 045
Charlie A Weasley
I've gotten this on an account that we've had trouble with every since the plaync/ncsoft master account merger. This is my husbands account, he went to log in to add an EotN key today. The account hasn't been actively played in over 2 years.

Error 045 is a ban. If the account hasn't been played in 2 years, it's likely either been hacked or was caught in a false flag. GW accounts are unfortunately vulnerable to both, especially if they're linked to NCSoft master accounts.
The specific error message given should shed a little more light on the reason.
If your husband never used third-party programs/bots, then you have every right (and are encouraged) to contact support. You'll have to provide proof of ownership (CD keys/box scans, receipts, etc.), and it may require some back-and-forth, but if you're polite, patient and persistent, you should be able to get the account unlocked. Just be prepared for the worst if it was hacked -- support cannot restore stolen items or deleted characters.
Best of luck.

yeah... we're cringing atm because we've move several times since gw first came out. if we can find any keys it will be a miracle, and then hoping that it is the right account out of 4 will be even harder. The worst is this all started because he couldn't remember his log in information!
Even better when support wrote back they asked for a huge list of information but never gave us an explanation as to what the error is.
