If he cast it on me yes, I am immune. Its bad because of this:

Rat casts Tainted Flesh on Gwen.
Enemy then hits Gwen and becomes diseased.
Since I am standing right next to Gwen, the enemy now passes that disease on to me and the rest of my party standing near Gwen.

Its good if its cast on a front liner but when it gets cast on a back liner, its horrible.
