You can still solo or dual spirit spam Underworld, so I think ecto farming is still fine.

The update says they changed the spawn positions in ToPK.
Hopefully this will stop alot of botting, but i won't hold my breath.

Aww...I liked farming that spot on my ranger. First time farming ectos I got 30 in only an hour.
But I guess that is probably the reason cuz if I can get that in an hour, imagine what the botters get cuz you see them there 24/7 for like a month.

Its a pitty anet doesn't have the manpower/ability to deal with bots so they just have to resort to nerfing the farm altogether. Probably a lot of legit players who enjoyed this farm. But it was kinda getting ridiculous. You could go to any dis in ToPK and see a steady stream of sins flowing into the vortex.

Kind of weird that they don't have the manpower, considering how many innocent people get banned for farming in ToPK (check Gaile's talk page). I'm surprised they don't just nuke everyone who tries to farm and sort it out later.

It's quite funny to see all the bots just run in and get kicked out 20secs later. If Anet wanted to cure botting here, now would be the time to just watch the fails.

Tombs could use a chest at the end.
I don't go there ever since a mangled assassin did nothing but provide energy and corpses to the necromancers and continuous insults to the monks (they stopped healing him after his 3th solo stroll to over-aggro a bunch of monsters) got 4 frakking green drops and 2 rares, and the rest of the party not even a single rare weapon.
The guy treated the rest of the party as his H/H, expecting everyone to follow him while he almost gets us wiped, and he still gets the stuff?
No one was happy
I'm not playing so someone else gets the loot. No way. I want my share.
And since then I never went to tombs again.
Well, time to wait for April now!

All the botters did was reload the game and put their bots back to work. It's really a no brainer since they bolt for the door and end up back in town less than 5 seconds later. Kinda stupid to wait since it gives them a chance to figure it out and move onto another location. :/
(Hint: Euro - French and Russian have several A/Me constantly running in and popping back to town! America seems to have a few, but definitely not as many as the others.)

ToPK HM is my ultimate testing ground for 7-hero team builds.
If you can manage doing ToPK HM w/heroes in HM without consumables, then you can definitely beat UW NM heroway without problems. Not that it hasn't been done already.
Other than that, I haven't used TopK as an ecto farming place...

Just gonna throw it out there, if you get accused of botting (aka banned.), you're never getting unbanned. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever. Ever. Anet/NCSoft is very set in stone and too "precise" to admit that they're wrong.

I was unbanned both times. Never botted before. I just know a lot about it. Apparently, Anet seems to forget the difference.

Man, just took a look in the French district. You weren't kidding about the bots. There's about 30 of them running in the door then popping out about 5-10 seconds later. Wash, rinse, repeat. ANET could have a field day if they just sat in these districts and watched.

Standing right in front of the entrance but at a fair distance, with GUI turned off, makes for a nice screensaver with all the assassins breezing by all the time.
