stealth nerf of ToPK ecto farm

I am both gladdened and sad at the same time. Happy because I don't actually like farming, sad because that was the only reliable way for me to get ectos...

Guess there were too many bots.

You can still solo or dual spirit spam Underworld, so I think ecto farming is still fine.

They replaced the dryders and ghost riders with grasps and scythes of insanity

Perhaps ecto prices will go up a bit, Solo sos or dual isnt quick enough to make a big impact.

Kinda saddened by the loss of this farm, but the bots had to go. Oh well, back to the (actual) UW.

The update says they changed the spawn positions in ToPK.

Hopefully this will stop alot of botting, but i won't hold my breath.

Topk was a bad farm anyways.

Not if you bot it on 4+ accounts at the same time.

It's where 2 of my friends accounts ended up a couple of months ago after they were hacked, used as bot farms before Anet shut them down.

Aww...I liked farming that spot on my ranger. First time farming ectos I got 30 in only an hour.
But I guess that is probably the reason cuz if I can get that in an hour, imagine what the botters get cuz you see them there 24/7 for like a month.

Its a pitty anet doesn't have the manpower/ability to deal with bots so they just have to resort to nerfing the farm altogether. Probably a lot of legit players who enjoyed this farm. But it was kinda getting ridiculous. You could go to any dis in ToPK and see a steady stream of sins flowing into the vortex.

Kind of weird that they don't have the manpower, considering how many innocent people get banned for farming in ToPK (check Gaile's talk page). I'm surprised they don't just nuke everyone who tries to farm and sort it out later.
