Sylvari Skin, Fool's Tonic and Killer Rabbits an April 1st Event
Sylvari Skin
Turn all characters not in PVP battle areas into Sylvari on April 1st only. This will be a way to play a Sylvari temporary as a sneek peak to Guild Wars 2.
Fool's Tonic
Fool's tonic will be available in standard and everlasting forms, being dropped by Killer Rabbits. They will only be available as drops on April 1. Possibly added on April 1 only to chest reward for PVP players. They work in outposts and have a random chance to turn your character into the following:
-Opposite Gender
-Stick Figure
-Gwen Doll
-Mini Self
-Sylvari
-Killer Rabbit
Killer Rabbits
Rabbit foes that look menacing with fanged teeth and glowing red eyes, assassin skills, level 20/26 and traveling solo or with other standard foes. Each killer rabbit would have a good chance of dropping a standard fool's tonic and a 1/10,000 chance of dropping an everlasting fool's tonic. They would only spawn on April 1. They would be spread out randomly across all of guildwars so they would not be farmable.

i think its a great idea...especially if u want to sell the toncis for...400+ecto.... since its only a one day thing.
it wont work though
be nice to have more tonics....other than the shitty ones we got now...same old same old...is barf
tonics are supposed to be un...not JUST for money...his annual repeating tonic is ...gay so to say...
take out annual tonics and add a new set each year...each motnh reavealing a new oen...then will be in zaishan chest.

I say everyone just gets an everlasting Fool's Tonic.

Festivals are NOT about fueling elitism. Adding another superleetawesomeomgwtfbqq drop, especially a topic, is stupid. Much the same reason why new titles are stupid.

whether r not its eltism or not...people do it anyway...derv update was suppsoed to be fun...yet some dumbsses require r7/8 to show u have skill to auto attack using AoG....not its AoB....so....ur statement is irrelavent to what people do anyway if its not meant to

and comparing holidays to HA (I assume thats what your trying to do with the r7/8 statement) isn't really relevant in any way shape or form.

Take the everlasting part away and it sounds fun.

I'm excited for the tonics. I don't understand how anybody would not understand the "fun factor" involved with them. If you don't want them, don't go searching for the killer rabbits. If you do want one, farm away. If you're lucky enough, insta-rich, and if you're not, oh well.
Seriously, it's a tonic people. Quit complaining...it's supposed to be fun.

So far heres what I can propose....in reference to Everlasting Tonic
-keep it rare (historically anet has added festival items with very limited distribution)
-make it less rare 1/500 or 1/1000 or 1/2500
-make its distribution like festival hats everyone that shows up on that day gets one but their not tradeable
-make a trade-in collector ie collect 250 standard fool's tonics and trade it in to a collector for 1 everlasting tonic
-no everlasting version
another point is fun and utility vs griefing
my idea is to provide fun and some usefulness out of april 1st and not annoy people with worthless drops so not really liking the "Fools tonic. you keep clicking and nothing happens. " idea

- no everlasting one
- a collector wanna have 250 tonics for 1 EL one
- keep it rare
my idea would be:
- an EL one
- a collector collecting 50 or 100 normal tonics, or other items
- or giving us a quest in LA,kamadan and shing jea monastery (can be done once, at lvl 20, and can only do 1 of the 3)
- make normal ones, or another item you would need for EL one, drop like ToT bags (trick or treat bags)
this is MUCH less elitism, and everyone can get em, even those who have work
then let it be an event til after weekend
i know i get blamed for having a non-elitism idea of playing GW (or any other game), but at least its my way to play games

Interesting idea, but giving the (limited) devs 7 days to code all this means it simply isn't going to happen (not this year at least). Also I believe there was a comment somewhere about ANet staff not being able to use ideas from Sardelac due to intellectual property laws etc?
Just sayin~

Swingline
april fools joke - when u spam alc u accidentally crap your self and have to change your drawers for 5 minutes and are unable to move or switch districts. Then you move 50% slower because you got ring sting and the effect persists even after switching districts or zoning. Oh and logging out wont make it disappear.
your screen should turn a brown hue when it happens to ^^

Most likely they will not have time to code all of this in time this year, agreed.

Hmmm, I like the idea of a quest as a possible option for getting the everlasting title. Expanding on that the quest reward should be untradeable. So thanks for the suggestion.
Seems only the rarity of the everlasting has been in contention, any other areas of the idea you want to suggest tweaks to?
The Only Warrior
you expect them to design and test a syvari model and then add rabbit spawns to random groups across the map, on top of adding the tonics, for a 1 day event, once a year, k ill sign it if u can convince the live team to move
