Hi guys I updated my video card not too long ago and updated it to the latest version of 8.821. I am using the ATI Radeon 2600 HD XT. Before I updated the drivers GW would run fine and no slowdowns at all. Now I updated to the latest drivers and now GW can be sluggish during fights and in big cities. Is there anyway to go back to the drivers I used before updating? I am running Windows 7 Ultimate as well. Thanks!

I googled also and it said something about roll back drivers. Now is that safe to do? For those who done it, in my case, would you do it in Normal or Safe Mode?

Thanks for your help!

EDIT: Also I installed ATI Catalyst (which I did NOT have installed before) and went to settings. Here was the following settings for 3D:

Standard Settings: Balanced (Options: Optimal Performance, High Performance, Balanced, High Quality, Optimal Quality)
Anti-aliasing: Application managed (Options: 2x, 4x, 8x)
Anisotropic filtering: Application managed (Options: 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x)
Catalyst AI: Standard (Options: Disabled, Standard, Advanced)
Mipmap detail level: High Quality (Options: High Performance, Performance, Quality, High Quality)
Wait for vertical refresh: Off unless application specifies (Options: Always off, Off unless application specifies, On unless application specifies, Always on)
Adaptive anti-aliasing: Disabled (Options: Enabled, Disabled)
OpenGL settings: ?

So it seems it wasn't sluggish before installing Catalyst. Did Catalyst perhaps change the performance which makes fights sluggish? Thanks... I need help.

Rather than rolling back the drivers, I would advise uninstalling and reinstalling the driver that actually worked.

If sluggish means high ping than your video card is not the factor. If sluggish means lower fps than it may be driver related. The CCC settings appear to be at default, so I doubt that they are actually slowing anything down for you. Did you get a larger monitor or raise some in-game settings by any chance?
