Another? Gasp! The event that happened today wasn't the Masquerade Ball; it wasn't related to it at all.

Nope. I did not endorse the other event which happens to bear some similar naming to the original and longest running event in Guild Wars (though I certainly don't have an ill feelings towards the event that took place today) The event that happened today was in no way related to the Ascalon Royal Family Masquerade Ball, which this sealed envelope may or may not be an invitation to.

The event that happened on March 26th wasn't the Ball. It was a completely different event created by someone else that just happened to have a masquerade theme.

The ARFMB is the longest running community event in the game. It may or may not be making a return this year for one huge epic finale. All of the community hosts may or may not be working on organizing it, and it may or may not be the grandest event in GW history.

ARFMB year 1: May 5th, 2007
Mursaat Rally year 1: April 14th 2007

Last I checked, May comes after April, so Mursaat Rally, now called MantleCon (because the reason behind the old name was no longer needed), is older by about a month. ARFMB is second to MantleCon.
