Guild wars 1 linking to Guild wars 2

I was recently thinking about the log in system. The email address I use for gw2 well, It doesnt exist anymore so im kind of trying to figure out if im going to need it to link my current account to gw2 so i can get all my title benefits and etc i also dont know my cd key or my security answer so im kinda stuck lol ive been lookin on info on how the linking system is going to actually work but i havent found anything, if anyone has the info would be appreciated, and ill keep looking and update if i find any!

I also think that it depends upon whether or not you have anything to link. Obviously, there are going to be people who start a new GW2 account without having played GW1 and, therefore, with nothing to link.
So, if you don't have a valid e-mail/accountname on GW1 and have forgotten or don't know all the login info, you probably have nothing to link anyway and you can just start a new GW2 account when the time comes.

I'm thinking that account "Linking" will be part of the NCSoft Master Account. If I'm correct when purchasing Guild Wars 2 you'll be registering it to the Master Account your Guild Wars: Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall and Eye of the North are registered too. I believe my assumptions are correct since you're given a point in the Hall of Monuments GW2 Calculator for linking your Guild Wars account to an NCSoft Master Account.

Take it literally what Areananet says. In the hom FAQ is stated:
They mentioned Guild Wars account and Guild Wars 2 account. These are the game accounts. They didn't mention the NCSoft Master Account (yet).
As long as nothing more specific is known, we cannot assume the NCSoft Master Account is used for linking the accounts. It might as well be that you somehow link the game accounts directly without any master account.
