NOTE: I KNOW THIS WILL NEVER EVER EVER BE IMPLEMENTED, BUT I STILL THINK ITS A GOOD IDEA AND MIGHT BE GOOD FOR GW2
Those of you that have played Dragon Age (Great Game) or Dragon Age 2 (Somewhat Good Game) are familiar with the Tactics system for your companions that works really well. For those of you that are not, I will give you a quick rundown.
Basically, you can set the AI of your companion by yourself. You can change the behavior (Passive, Agressive, Ranged, Tank, Healer) and, more importantly, the Tactics. The Tactics consist of basic "if...then" statements--for example, on a healer you would set the tactic "If ally health <50%, then use Zelous Benediction" or on a nuker "If enemy is clutered with 2 more enemies, then use RoJ." You can set actions other than skills such as attack, wait, kite etc. It is pretty much heaven for nerds like me, and enables some pretty awesome coordination. It would especially help on the AI that likes to use AoE on single targets or heal minions or stuff like that.
Basically, it would be cool to have a similar system in GW. I know that is probably not possible, and ANET has done enough for us by allowing seven heroes, but it could work in GW2 as well.

That tactics system is flawed but fantastic.Having some way to program\override how your heroes should be using their skills would be awesome

Did you post it on GW2 forum too? might be a good idea.

i've seen similar behavior and tactics systems in other rpgs as well and would love to see this added to GW
but you do have to remember that GW is turning 6 years old, i seriously doubt that they will be adding anything worthwhile anymore
i thought they were doing without heroes in GW2

This looks more like FFXII's gambit system.
If time permits, I would /sign.
But time doesn't due to WoC.

This has been suggested before, and even compared to FF XII and Dragon Age.
