Hacked...where should I 're'-start?

Sooo I've been saving ectos (around 250) and money (around 500k) for the last month for the Chaos Gloves and FoW armor, HoM points, etc...to log in to do some more farming and bang....my heart sunk...all my gold, ectos, and storage materials had been wiped out. Never have I visited a gold site, used add-ons or scripts, and this happens

Only thing I can think of was when I took it to my sisters house about a week ago on her un-secured network.

Im floored here guys. I feel like I've been kicked, punched, and stabbed where the sun don't shine.

I've had an eye on my warrior for a while but never really touched her cuz I had my SUPER AWESOME Rit with Monument armor, sunglasses, etc. and felt no need to abandon her.

HOWEVER...Now that I have to practically start over, was wondering if people new any quick ways to get some cash so I can atleast have a ground.
Will playing my Warrior through Nightfall, Factions, and EoTN make some decent funds? It's been so long since I've really played the game I don't know what kind of rewards you get for storyline quests, and missions.

TL;DR Will bringing a character through 2 1/2 chapters (NF, Factions, EoTN) net me some decent money?

just recently got hacked too...we could partner up and start some sort of running service, as soon as we get armor/runes/etc back lol

Yeah. I think the best way to restart is just to start playing missions again and once you get comfortabe, you can start farming places, etc. another idea is to find a guild that will be happy to give you extra support as you try to rebuild your account--that always makes things go happier and quicker.

they can take youre gold, but they cant take youre skillz, Make Sin->Weh No Su->FoW/UW/SoO= Back to where u were in 2-3 months. unless youre one of those "well i dont wanna use gimmick i wanna do it the right way and stay under 300k cause thats how it was done 5 years ago when gold ment something and blah blah blah blah"

Sorry to hear you got hacked.
I would probably just sell Traveler Gifts to get enough money for new armors/runes,
get and sell alcohol from pre, and later start farming birds.

As a rt you can do a bit farming even while naked, take spirits out for a walk in Jaya Bluffs and kill some birds. Lots of minor runes and feathers to get you up on your feet again.

I agree that SoS farming (e.g. feather farming from Bergen hot springs to D'alessio Seaboard) would be the best place to start. You should get enough money to buy a decent weapon, basic max lvl armor and even some runes.
3 hours of farming in normal mode should give you atleast 20k to have a nice start.

After that it is all up to you. Most important is that you enjoy playing the game. Cause otherwise the hacker would have won.

In the end it doesn't matter what gives most money/hour, it's what's more fun.
If you like PvP, going for ZKeys or Flames of Balthazar is certainly an option. Then your money making become a biproduct while you're enjoying the game. Now if getting money is your primary concern then PvE is of course the faster route, and since rt was your main character then you can instantly get started with SoS feather farming even without armor and runes.

if you where able to amass the amount of stuff you had 250ecto and 500k in gold you still have your characters and skills that you had gotten so just do what you did before unless they deleted you characters then your pretty much sol

I dislike when people called it "hacking" it wasn't hacking. Oh well, Money is worthless in Build Wars, the best statted items can be purchased for as low as 2k in Kamadan (or even lower). Just start re-farming and working on 30 points for your HoM so that you're awesome in Build Wars 2.

I guess I got extremely lucky - I still have all my armor, runes, weapons, Heroes still have all their runes and weapons (On my Rit, which will I will be transferring everything over to Warrior).

For everyone saying make a Sin - I have one already She's naked (Idk why, she only had starter armor) and I already capped Shadow Form and what not.

Im just gonna use my Rit strictly for UW solo's and Feathers and all that jazz while I start gearing my Warrior to be a total badass like my Rit was GOING to be.

You had more money at one time than I've probably had over the course of years... I don't think I'm qualified to tell you what's profitable and what isn't. :|

I got hacked with a 25 char password playing on a computer without an internet browser, mfw stupidity.

Take it from someone who lost 11 obi sets and shit ton torment weps 3~ yrs ago.

Do the basics. Buy ID kits and ANYTHING you pick up, ID, it increases value. Whites/blues/purples. Do not underestimate this. Imagine doing a vanquish and leaving 20 white items on the ground. After ID, those are normally 80+ gold each ~15k.

If gold item has a decent inscription, sell it in kam for 1-20k.

Buy 1k armor until you can afford elites again.

DoA if you can do it, it is some of the better solid money.

If you lost weapons also, farm a few greens to start off with.

If you aren't any good at running/speed clears, run each of your characters thru the WiK quest chain, you can get 20+ medals of honor per character, plus about 20 royal gifts.

Every 10 medals is 65k (Opp. Spear), and each gift has chance to give 100k+minis, as well as enemies dropping 50k+ minis and greens.

Unless you have a good guild don't do UW runs, they fail majority of time, FoW is half decent, but good money chance is extremely low.

At OP: I would re-start in presearing, work on getting LDoA (it was made much easier recently), which you can do starting with 0 gold. Bonus items and the fire imp help, and they can't be lost to hackers.

Another option is pvp if you have a guild / decent flist. UAX and human connections also can't be lost to hackers.

Thread isn't about: Why people get hacked, who's fault it is or anything like that.

Check our giveaway forum, and play through the game again for some money. Do w/e you were doing before and you'll be good imo. Good luck OP! Sorry about what happened.
