oldschool items still drop, oldschool generally refers to items that are TRUELY rare, as old-school max weapons were, uninscribable and rare req's with rare mods are considered oldschool. also any item that you would generally find for 200k+ pre-NF is still considered Oldschool, GPB, Oni Blade, Fellbalde ect, with the excpetion being that Oldschool Fellblade are as common as dirt thx to EoTN

oldschool is generally referred to non-inscribable items by most ppl. Personally i prefer to call them simply non-inscribable and call old-school pre-nerf items.
And don't understand what u are saying about fellblade. They are a core skin, and also if drop in Tyria/Cantha are called old-school. Those who drops in Elona and EoTN are not called old-school.
Anyway if you consider old-school every non-inscribable item is true that they still drop, just go anywhere in Cantha or Tyria and kill a foe: the drop is oldschool.
What u were asking about prices is other matter: generally oldschool items are worth more cos some only exist and drop from certain spots in Cantha/Tyria and got no inscribable version.
Also consider that the introduction of inscribable version made fall the price of some weapons, as this guy above me said: Fellblade for example!
Some items like Chaos axes and some skin more were not affected by inscribable version. Other skins were affected more.
Generally you just have to check whether the item u sell is inscribable or not. And better said if you have a doubt about the price of an item ask a Price Check in the Price Check section. Also consider that most inscribable items aren't worth more than 10-15k. Non-inscribable (oldschool) items if got good modifiers are at least 10-15k with some cases of thousand ectos for rarities....
Also consider taking a lood at Sell section here in Guru to make yourself and idea of prices

Go with Tender's post.
I'd like to add that in the lower-end of items refered to as oldschool in the meaning of un-inscribable are also worth a tad more cause the inherent cannot be changed; thus making all drops that do not carry the wanted mods (X^50, +5e or with lower reqs and skins also other mods) are rarer than the inscribable version which only the skin and req determine the value. This is the reason non-inscribable shields can we worth hundreds or thousands of ectos - the miniscule chance of those perfect mods. Since yes, echovald/gothics/etc are a rare drop but if they only came inscribable they wouldn't be worth shitall anymore.

Not entirely, since some mods cannot be replicated. +1/20 or +10 -2, and just +10vSpecies in general, so some shields would still be worth their while..
Matrix Arcade
If they only came inscribable those mods wouldn't be possible on those shields anymore either. What you stated above is one of the other reasons non-ins shields are rare (like I stated above.. a chance at certain mod-combinations). Please read it more closely.

Always annoys me the way everyone calls everything "old school" as well. About the only things that should get that title are r7 and r8 non-inscription items - and staves that don't have the 20% Halves Skill Recharge for all. I have been trying to sell some r7 stuff in game lately and people have no clue what real old school stuff is anymore. That term is a joke.
And yeah someone needs to read posts better ;P

Am I really missing something? I read that post 20 times over, and yes, you said that the chance of getting the perf mods is what makes shields so expensive. But my point was that if they would come inscribable, some shields, those with mods you can't replicate would still be worth their money.
Maybe you guys just misinterpreted me?

Bright, I'll hit u up ingame some time and have some of the old conversation.
@Stuey, gogo sell me your r7's! (:
And yes: items really "oldschool" are:
Gold non-inscribable Crystallines/serpent axes/dwarven hammers/dwarven axes and possibly swamp clubs (there has been talk about them dropping or not ever since NF release)
MAX r7 Items
Staves where the 20% now white inherent is infact Gold (or purple/blue coloured for that matter)
Unconditional weapons (weapons with +damage modifier that is not bound to a condition i.e. ^50%health, while hexed, while in a stance etc.)
Then some people like to add the quest and collector items that are no longer obtainable in the game (you could indeed say these are old, no longer obtainable thus "oldschool".)

Also items Oldschool are all kind of nerfed mods and mod combos like dual dmg reductions. 3/10 mods and such to add on matrixes list
also things like 10energy nor eq staves etc

I don't mind if people refer to normal uninscr items as oldschool, but I try not to do it myself, out of respect of actual oldschool stuff..
Add +8vX shields to that. They are quite useless now, but still..
