I am not sure if anyone else has this problem but when I first sign into my account and go to select a character, my costumes, which I had paid good money for, do not show the costumes that I have them equipped with. If I log into that character then log off, they usually (not always) show them wearing that particular costume at the select screen.
I know its nitpicking but I am wondering if anybody else has this problem and maybe, if enough people feel the same way Anet can do something about it, thank you.
Anet why areny my costumes viewable in the character select screen when I log on?

Yeah the same thing happens to me, usually I can see the costume after I move from being online with a character to the character select screen but not after I logout. Perhaps the information isn't stored permanently in the character select screen.
I'm sure they have a good enough reason for it, but it's not really a problem, the armour skin is still there and the costume is in place when you log on. It doesn't really bother me that much.

Apparently it's a bug.
SpyderArachnid
It is just a visual bug at the character select screen.
You aren't wasting any money or anything, cause you still have your costume on when you log in. It's just a visual bug in the character select screen only.

Yea but the point of this thread is why? I know its not a big deal and my costumes are there in game but does it really have to be like that and is it too much to ask for it to be fixed?
HellScreamS
if you know it's not a big deal let Anet work on other stuff that's more important to the game.
Oh wait.

The game probably reads the armour for default display, and whatever algorithm uses the costume only kicks in after you log in with the character.
I guess it's a consequence of having added costumes later and not while making the core engine.

it has been that way since they introduced costumes...though I find it odd sometimes when I log off and back on later some of mine are still wearing the costume on the login screen (though I think I did make a hypothesis for that)
