Apparently i backed up all my old screenies a while ago, and i found em! so lets take a walk down memory lane....

Well here we go then. went through my oldest screens to find these.


My favorite april fools day, i was into doctor who at the time and was watching the episode where the kid goes "are you my mommy?" during that day some random female Ranger was running around so in a random mood i ran after her asking if she was my mommy, not long after the entire district started to spam random stuff, and i wouldnt be me if i didnt stay in caracter XD I wish i had a screenshot of the conversation that included "mommy" being eaten and not loving her children. (edit: apparently this was part of that convo lol)

For those that are confused, the nearly faded txt says "horny is desire" Apparently we reached the "mommy is horny" part. Dont look at me, i was drunk on random!



The first days of my ele lead him into what i believe to be the most beautifully lit area in the whole game.


babe hunting with a guildy, at the beach... desert... yeah...


A completely random idea i had while my guildies were afk, positioned myself in the middle and an nice snapshot was born.


Who remembers this!?


Sometimes guildwars gives me headaches... I just make headachenade.


I literally just gotten my gloves when i went there. the game lagged out and i was burning forever. Decided the gloves caused spontaneous combustion.


A little something i cropped out of a screenshot, they were following Masters and Olias, just had the potential for awesome.

Ah yes, I remember this. I have a female elementalist on my second account that I ran to LA for Halloween and Wintersday so I could always get extra goodies. I ended up logging on her that day finding out she (being level 2) was unable to be a mini gwen. I afk'd, came back and was swarmed by those little gwen with the exact same kind of dialogue.

I must ask, do you remember the female ele? o__O

Lol. I was looking through my 3000+ old pictures and just found a picture where I was in a pug group with someone I recognize... 3 years before I was in a guild with that person. Pretty weird.

Unfortunately I lost all my pre-NF stuff because I changed computers several years ago and didn't have those backed up. I wanted to post my pictures of getting legendary survivor in factions with my W when it came out T_T. Not on my photobucket account either, although I remember I wrote a ton about it on another gw forum way back when.

Some random pictures from the first year of the game.

In the Underworld with my guild. One of the first times I got a good look at the Bone Pits. As I recall, our party died not long afterward upon entering the Chaos Planes.


Ah the old Tengu farming in Twin Serpent Lakes. Before they added Mesmers to the enemy groups.


Underwater combat in GW2? What's the big deal; we've been able to fight enemies underwater in GW1 already


During the original days of solo 55hp farming in the Underworld. These Aatxe's were kind enough to pose for the picture... before being slaughtered.


Perdition Rock. After loosing 5 henchmen in previous fights and having no resurrection skills left, I decided to go ahead and try to complete the Final Blow quest anyway with just my Warrior, Aiden, and Dunham. And I did it.


During some downtime while fighting in Heroes' Ascent, my necromancer decided to commune with one of the spirits.


An amusing visual glitch in ToPK where a Chaos Wurm appears to have sprouted from the middle of a bridge.


Shortly after I realized what could happen when using /dance * right before a cutscene starts.


A glitch being exploited during the Factions Preview Event. I wasn't part of it, just observing.

This was my first ever Guild Wars screen shot. During one of the beta preview weekends, almost 7 years ago. It's nothing special, but it was first:

In that final event, a while before the Wurms, large presents had appeared. They opened up and produced gnomes... who exploded. That "cross" would have to be the remnant of such a box.

I should go dig up my own screenshots from the betas. I believe I might have pics specifically of the gnomes, as well as lots of other stuff...

Here are a few pics, i have many dating back to 2002 in the alpha test but NDA still covers those not being shown, maybe i can ask permission but i doubt it as they look radically different from what you see these days in game

From E3 04, top left conditions and enchantments, top right are ranger rituals(environment effects) which back then covered the entire map. Effects in general were massive compared to the gfx for them you see these days,around 2 times as large, ie when prot spirit was put on someone it filled half the screen ;p Icons are not all as you'd see them in game these days, ie they had different effects so yes the bars look crazy these days ;p

Edit: Added another screen. As you can see from the comments yes they had idiot runners in PvP back then too ;p and you can see the messages tab, which was like email in game, if you were offline and someone sent you a message you could read them when you got online.
