In short, I came across a video of this farm from 2006 or so.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rojJeEbCU1g

Now I'm pretty sure this was before the anti farm code was implemented and stuff so this might not be as good now, but from what I've heard about the drops there it may also potentially be one of the most lucrative farms out there given the current state of the game. So I was curious if anyone knows a build for farming this quest effectively? I haven't been able to come up with anything myself as I don't have that many chars there at the moment but I imagine that something along the lines of the Vaettir builds could still work.

Anyhow, my interest in this farm is that Bo Staffs are supposedly very common drops there. And while they may have been considered crap back then they sure as hell aren't now.

I use a 105 nec with totem axe or something like that to farm this, it will allow you to farm the boss at the end also, just remember to cast insidious parasite on him when you aggro and run the left top corner!
A little hint not to have to use I am unstoppable! is to stand next to the npcs that will prevent knockdown!

Nec: OANEQiJH/MtHkHYJQTeXtSUPIPA

Ps!
I have run this a few hundred times, yet i haven't seen any gold bo staff, just crapy blue once, but i still do this since there are always 1 chestspawn, sometimes two and it still provides a decent income to cover the picks i lose

they updated the assassins so that they actually have an offhand attack.
this allows them to use their dual attack, which causes KD.

its still doable with some anti-kd, but that limits your builds.
there are different ways to achieve this:

use ur title character (if u dont have drunkard yet), and match it with drunken stability.

use "i am unstoppable" and then do something else during downtime, such as balanced stance or something.

abuse the 'minipet counts as ally' mechanic. pop out a minipet everytime you need to cast, then put it away so it doesnt wander away from you. this can also be combined with i am unstoppable.

also, if you have more kurzick faction then luxon faction, u can get to the farm location by just dying because the 'luxon rez shrine' wont be activated.

an example build would be.

you will have 15% dp
55 monk (1 hp monk) or 105 monk (33 hp monk)

[protective spirit]
[shield of absorption]
[shielding hands]
[i am unstoppable]
[ebon battle standard of honor]
[hundred blades]
[whirlwind attack]
[balthazars spirit]

you run around with IAU up, when its on cooldown, pop out a minipet to cast.
shielding hands probably can land even without IAU up, but shield of absoprtion wont..

then after yo u aggro all like 23 enemies or w/e the number was, you put down ebsoh and then hundred blades, whirlwind. whirlwind will be charged thanks to balth spirit.

cycle SoA and shielding hands to take 0 damage at all times.

this takes about a minute per run.

attribute spread is like. 12 prot 12 swordsmanship 3 smiting. but you get extra from the +3+1 prot headpiece.

this kills them all same time, like w/n raptor farm, which some ppl believe screws u out of alot of drops because of antifarming code, but w/e. it looks cooler.

It's still quite easy to do this farm with a 330 Rt/Mo VwK build. The KD can be annoying, but as I recall you can get around it by just popping out a mini pet while you're there.

I've done this farm a lot over the years and you'll definitely get some bo staffs. However, most of what you'll get is actually cloth based armor, luxon totems and runes. Every so often you'll get something exciting like Chromium shards, etc. FYI, with a little care you can also farm some of the oni mobs (for oni daggers and swords) using the 330 build, but it's far from ideal since they don't let you cast enchants.

Good hunting.

You can do it with a 330 ele build too:

The trick is that you have to stand next to the friendly villager NPCs. The assassins can only knock you down if you're not next to an ally.

Basically, cast prot spirit and stoneflesh and keep them up at all times, use IAU to round them up, and run to one of the villagers before IAU ends. Then, kill the enemies with your spells. That's all there is to it.

But.. you can't get them all at once anymore. You have to split it into 2 or 3 different pulls. IAU doesn't last long enough to get them all.
