April First Lore

Is there any official confirmation from legitimate sources stating whether or not the storyline elements introduced on April First are canon, or purely just a joke?

By "legitimate sources" I do mean someone who is actually in charge of making decisions on the game's lore.

Is the Blog post by Anet employees not legitimate enough for you? Do you need a signed and notarially witnessed personal letter to you?

Just asking out of curiosity... you cant really get more official than one of the Anet people responsible for the game can you?

They took it pretty seriously this year and it's hard to convince myself that they're not taking themselves toooo seriously...

I mean they even bothered to come up with legitimate explanations for it all.

Why must you all always be so tense and serious...? This is a discussion forum isn't it? (No need to reply if you're going to be typically dismissive).

How can they take themselves too seriously? Of course they were serious about how it was presented, this joke hinged on making seem as real as possible.

It's not like "coming up with legit explanations" is something that would take much time.
