Hey everyone,

Im coming back after taking a very long break, and ive noticed alot has changed and i have a few questions:

1. For GvG do i need to have a character i leveld myself or can we use the pvp characters?

2. How can i go about getting into a GvG guild?

Thats my main concern, thanks for the help and im looking forward to playing again!

1. You can use a pvp character to play in GvG. You can also use a pve character that you leveled yourself.

2. Go look in the Riverside Inn forums here. Look for the GVG workshops that they're doing. They will teach you a lot. Have fun!

Don't expect the GvG scene to be as active as it was a Year ago, the game in the higher-end PvP Scene is somewhat dying, it's not completely dead but through years of Abuse via Nerfs, Balance Changes, Guilds Dominating (Rebel Rising, etc) and "Rank Discrimination" / "Play-time discrimination" the scene is dying out. Start observing some matches and look at the common builds for the class you enjoy to play, most of them are the same if not similar to what they've been for years so it's not going to be a huge learning curve if you've previously GvG'd before.

Nobody and nothing "killed" GvG. It's a 6yr old game, (ie. interest has piqued and then flattened) played in teams (ie. barrier to entry), with a steep learning curve (ie. not for random morons). It's not exactly Farmville, now, is it? For a game where you can't just pick a shovel and plow right in, I say it's doing quite well.

And I suspect that the GW2 hype may be applying an effect whose name escapes me right now (where the hype for an upcoming product makes people hold off from using the existing product).
