[Official Thread] The Ascalon Royal Family Masquerade Ball Returns!

For you raffle people I'll *try* to see if I can catch you guys, but I'm sort of in a quandary as to how to get 75 people on my friends list - I'm pretty sure that as big or bigger than the maximum size anyway, and I only have a handful of spots left (what can I say! I'm a friendly guy! :P ).

If you guys wouldn't mind adding me, "Countess Reapera" and contacting me when you see me online I'd really appreciate it. I'll make a point of being online most of tomorrow to keep an eye out for you guys to PM me.

It was really a fun event to bad I couldn't keep my eyes open untill the end
so at 2 in the morning I had to go to bed . Even found out I won 5 BD on the raffle. Tanx to all the people who hosted a district and for the community to be so active during this event.

Just to clarify for the rest of you a question I received via PM - I will hold on to the raffle prizes until they are gone. You can hold off contacting me for 6 months and I'll still have your prize so there's no limit. Though in another 4-5 years it might be a bit difficult to contact me in-game, just saying.

I'll just leave GW up all day, if I'm not at the computer than I'll have my status set to away. I'm just dancing in GToB International 2, so there's no spam going on in chat. I'll check back every few minutes to see if anyone has contacted me and make every effort to get back to you when I pop back on. Thanks!

o.O I won a fireworks crate?!

I turned up half an hour after it finished (I had a gig, didn't realise how late it was ) and the Countess gave me some golds, party items and a mini. I assumed that was my raffle prize!

Nah, that's just stuff I was giving out as part of the end-of-festivities stuff!

I took a number of pictures...sadly later that day my comp got hit by a little root kit and figured my hard drive needed a format anyways. So I did a full wipe then reinstalled windows...forgot to back up my guild wars files though sooooo bye bye ALL my screenshots and my builds.

@Aeronwen, you were the only person I know of that donated an El. fireworks crate, I havn't seen the winner online though. There were others who donated the single use rockets, poppers and sparklers though!

And yeah, I've only given out the prizes to 11 out of 75 winners so far, I don't think anyone is coming online anymore!

@api, Sorry you missed the ARFMB, though GWEN is hosting their second anniversary event over Dragon fest, and I'm sure that will be spectacular!

I'm currently in PST, I'm sort of forced to be on mostly at night, around 10:00pm-12:30pm or so. However over the past week or so I'm just been running GW in windowed mode (when I can remember) throughout the day so I can try to catch more rafflers.

Sigh... my internet is finally installed and up and running in my new place.

Apologies for missing the Ball. I had a pretty horrible week leading up to it, and it was just a big mess with a lot of negative emotion bundled with it; was a very sad week for my family, especially me. Again though, my apologies, but I'm glad everything went ok and everyone seemed to have a great time.

I'm looking forward to creating a continuing event in GW2 for this great community. Hopefully, I'll be working side by side with Daniel and Operative to create said event, but it's in super pre stage planning right now on my end.

Remember this event?

I've not been able to contact, or been contacted by more than half the winners of the raffle. There are some great prizes still left to collect; more than 18 ectos to distribute, lots of tonics and other fun prizes. I know I said I would hang on to these prizes forever, but it's been months and I'm kind of feeling like I might be holding onto some great items that are waiting for people who have no use for them, who have left the game. I would hate to see these items waste away in my storage while people are scrambling to host fun events in need of prizes and support, of which I have only been able to donate a little because I myself was saving up for events.

That being the case I would like to amend (after a great deal of consideration) my earlier statement and place a deadline of 11:59pm December 1st to collect your raffle prizes. At that point there should be some great community events coming up to celebrate what could very well be our last Wintersday, and I think it would be best to donate these items to a good cause that would get some use out of them if their rightful winners can't claim them by then.
