Glint's Afk Farm

Any supreme reason I can't shuffle main/secondary jobs around on some of these heroes? I'm sort of a new player and know pretty much nothing about Mesmers, is Fast Casting really that important that you need 5 mesmer main heroes?

EDIT: I'm just going to try it.

can anyone give me template codes cause i only got 1 mesmer and 3 necros O.O and a bunch of eles and monks

EDIT: I'm just going to try it. Ive tried at least one of the mesmers on an ele hero with GOLE, no energy problems and aside from the loss in fast casting it works fine

Could somebody post the builds for those that are too poor to own mercenaries ?

Works well, thanks! Most of my heroes are under 500hp, random caster weapons and no troubles at all. Have Xandra, Olias and Melonni all as the other 3 mesmers.

EoE and Alkar's Alchemical Acid on me.

So I'm currently testing it with a ragtag team of runeless, starter weapons heroes. Also, don't have 5 mezes

The most I can get out of it is up to wave 4.

My team is (using the exact same skills the OP posted):
D/R: me
Me/Rt: Ineptitude
Me/Rt: Ineptitude
E/Me: Energy Surge
E/Me: Energy Surge (he's only level 17, hurr durr working on it)
Rt/Me: Energy Surge (Resto variant)
Rt: SoS
E/Mo: Ether Renewal

I'm starting to think that maybe it'd be worth it to invest in a merc hero, as I only have 1 Mes character. It seems like fast cast is indeed a bit more useful than I had thought. Though, I'm not too keen on spending an unnecessary 10 bucks, so I'll keep at this and try to get it to work.

I'll see to beefing this team up with weapons and runes, as well as getting stupid Sosuke to level 20.

Is there any reason the SoS Rit has Splinter Weapon? All I do is throw acid and drop EoE, and he keeps casting it on me and me alone. :/

zyph - i think they cast splinter only on you because im guessing your holding a melee weapon ( your technically melee class ) and we know how picky heros and splinter weapon can be.
I think the op has sort of designed the build around any profession use - so some classes may get splinter weapon more due to weapons.
Thats the only thing i can think of.

What do you mean by 7/15 shields? do you mean req 7 with +15 armor? why would those sell for so much?

I'm wondering why my Vekk (e/mo) doesn't do squat when he's set on avoid combat mode. Is there a reason to the fact that he DOES NOT cast?

Ok so i managed to do it with no mercs using the same builds as OP. Sosuke was level 16 when i started and came out 18 so good leveling and he did fine. I wasn't afk, but i wasnt using EoE, i was just ran around and picked up drops between waves. Also if anyone is wondering, it doesnt work in HM....at all.

I've been doing this for today..

done 18 runs, succeeded in 16 of them. the first two runs failed because the heroes were put on aggressive, but I fixed that by putting all of them except for E/Mo on guard.

I found that the only real thread is that your E/Mo gets nuked by mirror of disenchantment or Shatter Enchantment. if that happens, he runs out of energy fairly quickly, not even mentioning the infuse health troubles.

I bought merc heroes especially for this set
illusion 12+1+1
Fast Casting +1
Domination Magic 12+2+1 for breaking point on Esurge and Panic (in case I want to run something else)

40/40 sets hardly necessary with Fast Casting Attribute.

If you want them to, for any reason at all (like SoLS or Inspiration interrupts/emanagement), you need to set them to guard.

I ditched Sosuke and brought in my Mes character as a merc hero (I caved). I didn't even end up giving him a weapon as I didn't bother to check (first time using a merc hero). 2 deaths during wave 4, but not too many other issues.

I admit I wasn't really afk, I was throwing acid and keeping EoE up. This time I think I'll bring BotGD, won't go afk til I get the hang of it.
