Been toying with the idea of returning to Guild Wars and my favorite ritualist proffession, Ive noticed the buff to the elementalist Sunspear skill Intensity.
Which seems like it could be a significant throughput increase for a channeling nuker to put it above mediocrity. Ive always liked Rit channelers for their interesting spells, though which like Eles, always suffered from armor issues.
So have any Channelers made use of Intensity to see if it actually is a decent gain to use?

channeling magic deals lightning damage(most skills), so in theory it'd work. however it only works one time every 10 seconds which would make it rather pointless unless you find a way to do a ridiculous ammount of damage from a sinlge spell.
im not sure if intensity works with the "drop-effect" from skills like destructive was glaive or skills like Ancestors' rage.

Before the change to Intensity, I got some use out of it with my smiter. It gave a nice power boost to RoJ. Now that it affects only elemental damage, I expect that it might work well with skills such as Essence Strike or Channeled Strike tp add a small amount of AoE damage. It won't work with Ancestor's Rage, since that is a skill, not a spell. Added to spells that are already AoE, such as Spirit Rift or Clamor of Souls, it should add a nice bonus, but I'm sure it would only reflect the damage applied to the original target rather than the total damage to all affected foes. I.e., if the foes all take 100 lightning damage, they would take an addition 50 based on the damage taken by the target of the spell.
I think it would probably be a good thing to take if you want to mess with non-spirit-spamming builds.
Edit: As Ele Kid pointed out, it does only work once now for each use. You might be better off using another channeling skill in that slot.

The only spell that isn't going to produce a trivial amount of splash damage is Spirit Rift, and then you're either filling the rest of your bar with spirits (defeating the purpose) or filling it with skills that aren't good to begin with. Given the armor level of foes and that Intensity only triggers once every 10 seconds it's not going to make a difference.
