Hey everyone!
Recently I reset my Guild Wars password for security purposes. I went to the ncsoft website to change it, but I couldn't log in because my brother created the account before giving it to me, and I forgot the info he entered. I asked him if he remembered what it was, but he had no idea (we fail at writing things down for safekeeping).
I contacted support, and they asked for my access keys and account info, which I provided. However, the date of birth I gave was incorrect according to support's reply. I asked my brother what he used when he created the ncsoft account, and the options he gave did not work, so he thinks he just made one up because he was young at the time. I explained this to support, and they now want him to contact them because Guild Wars accounts are not supposed to be shared or given to someone else. But he does not know the birth date he entered, so I don't know what to do.
Any help would be appreciated, I just really hope I can get my account back!

Well technically it's not your account so I wouldn't get my hopes up.
But I actually thought that providing the access key and proof of purchase would be enough.

Try providing them with other details... the last few numbers of any credit cards used in the store, names of characters on the account, age of the account, address the account is linked to etc...
Also how did you reset your password if you cannot get into the master account? As far as I was aware the only way to reset your password is to sign into the master account, if you just clicked the reset link in guild wars itself chances are your password is still the same and you can access the account as normal.

Is there a way to get account support over the phone? I hate doing it through email. Also, I did give them the last four digits of my card and the address of the account; it's a bit ridiculous that giving all of that info isn't proof enough.

have your brother contact them, saying that he is still using the account and has forgotten what bday he used ---couldnt hurt to try. (and of course include the keys etc in that email).

Ok so I logged in successfully because my password was not reset. Should I just not respond to them since I have it now? I don't want them to deactivate or reset my password because I don't follow up.
Thanks for the help!
