What we should do to kill them easier? Level up?

(Sorry if some of this has already been mentioned.)
I commend you on your decision to try Charr hunting, it's excellent training for Post.
You will need to revise your tactics. Unlike most of the other foes in Pre, the Charr have well balanced groups and potent damage. Simply charging them will not work.
* You need tanking (allies that will keep the enemy, especially warriors, occupied while you take out the backline). Since you are both R you can get 2 pets to do this. You can also tank using Troll Unguent and have the wife heal you.
* If /bonus will give you the Summoning Stone, you can use the Imp, it's good for both tanking and damage. Unfortunately, he doesn't follow orders, attacks everything it meets and he's generally stupid. He can stop just under or around a hill and fire at the enemy and never notice his Fireball is obstructed.
* If /bonus gives you max weapons, use them.
* If you would have left the quest "Across the Wall" unfinished you could have used Ben Wolfson as an extra ally (simply make him tag along instead of taking him to the gate, he will fight with you).
* Prioritise Charr group members. Healers and Hunters are primary targets, the healers because they heal, Hunters because they do very bad ranged damage.
* Have one of you call targets (ctrl+dbl click) and the other follow (press T). The pets and other allies will also follow the call. Focus your attacks on that target.
* As a primary ranger there's lots of interesting things you can do. You also have Ignite Arrows, and you have Read The Wind, make use of them. Keep in mind that Read The Wind makes all bows fire the same, so flatbows suddenly become very interesting, because RtW gives them good speed and arc while preserving the big range.
* Follow the patrol paths, let them separate, learn to pick them off when they're far from their buddies.
* Learn pulling. Look up videos on Youtube and read about it on the wiki. Pulling is not important with the first few patrols, but it's essential near the boss shrine area.
* If all fails, ask nicely for a high level player (14+) to give you the tour of the Northlands (meaning killing all the Charr). If he's extra nice he will explain what he's doing and why. In any case, notice what he targets first, how he pulls groups around the shrine etc. Their tactics may not be applied by you perfectly, esp. if they are different professions, but it's a good experience.
* Use the terrain. Good use of hills can double your success rate. You may have noticed there are abundant hills and mounds and whatnot. Charr have to go around them in certain paths when they come for you. You can use this for blocking their advance or to take cover from arrows. For each group of Charr there is a nearby such place you can use to your advantage. The Charr are just as stupid as the Imp and the Hunters will be easily tricked by this. You can practice this very easily at the first ruins (to the right on the hill as you enter Northlands). Use the ruined walls to hide behind. Of course, since you're also a ranger you also need line of sight for your damage, so this kind of thing is a bit limited.
* A fight does not need to be finished in one go. You can retreat, fall back, go into cover to heal and get back out etc. You can kill one Charr then run away and come back later. It doesn't have to be "all or nothing".
* If you have money you can buy runes and Charr kits on the "black" market and outfit yourselves. But IMHO it's a waste of money because 20k among the two of you would be a great head start and help you lead a confortable life in Post, whereas in Pre they will barely equip one of you.
* Don't be dissapointed if nothing works. The practice itself is excellent and will be useful later. If you manage to take down the isolated groups (the two near the entrance, the one to the left over the pond, and the one to the left of the shrine in the valley) you have "passed" the Northlands test.
