Hi,

all those necro / spirit spammer / env team are getting boring...

I am looking to build a viru-winter heroes team
i am wondering : does "Theyre are on fire " 35% reduc stack with the mantra of frost 50% reduction ?

ps : has anyone built a successful winter team with heroes yet ?

It probably would since burning is a condition rather than a type of elemental damage in regards to triggering the damage reduction.

didn't have time to make lot of tests yet, but seems not bad. I'll test some hm elite zone

Defs ;
winter * they re fire * spirit evade * some para buff * hexs * 2 pets wall .. yea useless 9/10 but the 1/10 they can help a lot some situations)

I don't seem to see the logic of having Greater Conflagration + Winter + Mantra of Frost. Care to explain?

yeah conflagration + mantra of fire is good enough isn't it? look again at skills decriptions ... PHYSICAL != ELEMENTAL
there is nothing new is this combo

(look wiki it's an advice to combine them)

if you run only mantra of fire, you only have "half protection"
here you have physic & elemental ... only chaos dmgs & some pass through.

its gives better overall protection, for the cost of 1 skill.

All the information was really good and helped clarify somethings, but the question was kind of avoided.

Yes, It does stack. When you go into DoA you'll notice that Imba usually have "There's Nothing to Fear!" which is usually accompanied by "They're on Fire", or in HM where everyone is carrying Mantra of Frost, which have damage reduction in the description.

It's not armor so damage reduction is not applied the same way, but simply multiplicative. This applies for any skill that has "damage reduction" in it's description. Oh, and when combined with armor, its not exactly stacking with it either since armor reduction is applied before damage, while damage reduction is applied after damage.
