Extraordinary or Unusual Feats
Relyk
If you're like me, you've tried and done just about everything in Guild Wars and more when you're bored. I've started having more recollections as GW2 creeps ever closer. I've done some things that I'm proud of or ashamed to admit. There have been a lot of memorable moments while I've played this game. These can be feats of skill, determination, or sheer boredom. Most of mine pertain to PvE. A few examples are:
* Soloing Shiro with a hammer warrior with sabway. Only thing changed was Spoil Victor on the MM and disabling the rest of his skills. Shiro glitched halfway through when I did it, haven't been able to replicate it since.
* Spent 4.5 hours vqing Easter Frontier on my Warrior and a friend playing a Monk using Signet of Judgment and two heroes. I had forgotten to drop the titan quest. We survived only because Xandra had 59% DP and used Death Pact Signet for kamikaze attacks with Protective Spirit.
* Cleared City HM with R/A without any consumables. It took numerous attempts to learn how to ball, pull, kill, develop techniques, and follow intricacies. I spent more time on it than I care to admit.
* Came up with the idea of running through Prophecies with a new guy with a new start. Started a new Mesmer in Prophecies and ran myself to Sactum Cay with just henchmen, 4 hours total. I never touched the Xunai Chest once. I regard it as a prime display of my knowledge of the game.
* I participated in the golem party in spelling GW in Gunnar's Hold. I was overjoyed when it was tweeted about. Have to thank the guy who handed out those tonics.
* Cleared Foundry HM without any cons.
* I grinded Jade Quarry almost every night to reach the max Kurzick because I enjoyed playing it. You end up feeling like you carry your entire team on your back through each win. I've never done a single FFF, which gives me pride in doing it the "old school" way. You remember those close 10-9 games where you win or lose by a few seconds and the friendly rivalries that develop during a match.
I know people have their own little feats that are more exotic than this or more on the relaxed side. It can be soloing topk with a sin solo with daggers before the nerf or flare spamming the Master of Healing to death. It doesn't even have to be something particularly hard, time-consuming, or challenging; if it's memorable or something that you're proud of, it's worth hearing.
I would like to know what fun and exciting things you guys have done over the years, perhaps so I could try them too!

I vanquished Easter frontier as well, it took me 2 hours.
First I had to destroy the mountains of ham, then topple over the three cheese macaroni, but not before throwing my biscuit into the cranberry sauce's enemy territory.
Then the green beans said you'd better run and hide but then my friend canned yams came and joined my side. After unbuckling my 38 belt I solo'd the entire crushed pineapple pie.
I got 1,151 gold for it.

@IronSheik: I am simultaneously confused and hungry...
@OP: I once became invincible in the Zaishen Elite thing. I know it's happened before to other people, but the difference was that normally you can't deal damage back. In this case, I was the only one of my team left alive (I was a trapper) and the full ele team was rezzed and alive (they kept spiking down Frozen Soil). I thought we were going to wipe for sure, ad my other 3 teammates had /resigned. They were bugging me to, also, until I noticed I wasn't taking any damage, and the eles were neither wanding nor casting. I've become "invincible" in this situation once before (against eles in ZE), but I'm always unable to damage them also (the bug apparently works both ways). So, thinking we were boned anyway, I decided to start having fun and I tarted dancing, /taunting, etc while laying traps just for kicks. Meanwhile, the eles were just spazzing back and forth and casting Glyph of Energy. My teammates were pestering me to resign also, thinking I was just stalling, when I moved a bit by accident, and suddenly all the traps I'd set for kicks went off, downing half of them. Normally, the invincibility glitch ends when you move, but it didn't for me. They weren't even wanding me, though they did cast some Heal Areas after the traps went off. By this time, they were mostly out of rezzes (they'd used all their sigs), so when one died, it stayed dead. It took over 15 minutes, but I finally killed them all. Keep in mind that all of my other teammates were dead and cheering me on for 14 of those minutes. One of my teammates captured the whole thing on video, and he'll be putting it up on youtube. It was one of the most epic and hilarious things I've ever experienced in this game.

So these are going to seem minor to most people, but as a still fairly new player, they're a big deal to me.
I learned to run the E/Me vaettir farm build (with a few eventual tweaks of my own). Why is this a big deal? Because mentally I have an extremely hard time successfully running any build that relies on such specific timing of casts. It's why I can't run an AP build for the life of me. It's actually a problem I've had with certain game mechanics my entire "gaming life," so I definitely had a sense of accomplishment when I figured it out.
Another one - after unsuccessfully trying to run multiple gimmick builds on me/heroes to do Glint's Challenge... ones other people can apparently AFK while using - I finally created a team setup that lets me consistently do the entire challenge without any of us dying. Granted, I can't AFK it... but honestly, AFK'ing anything holds no interest for me, so I'm good with that. It just felt good to be able to find the combination that works for me/my playing style.
Finally, with the help of a poster here directing me to a tutorial thread, I FINALLY figured out how to use those damn Wurms & the skills! I used to hate it when I'd have to do anything that involved my skillbar being overwritten... now I find I look forward to each VQ that involves Wurming. Now I just gotta do the same with the Hearts of the North thing. LOL
@Iron Sheik - that made me LOL!

I solo farm pretty much everything with my Ranger...

After 3.75 years, have never used a farmer type gimmicky build, done that yet?

Nothing amazing to most, but I decided to just take a look at Domain of Anguish.. never having been there. I had my standard VQ set of heroes, no "way" builds that I know of.. and unfortunately my poor Merc Hero Dervish, Lisette. I had no intention of actually "doing" anything, just wanted to see what the mobs were like.
No cons, combs, candies, DP items or summons. Somehow, I managed to clear City of Torqua, Kill Lord Jadoth and his pals, and somehow clear the next place and kill the Dreadspawn Maw or whatever it is. Lisette died about 20 times, I lost count. My main tactic seemed to involve running and screaming a lot. I didn't die myself.. and managed to get my r1 survivor on my much killed Ranger finally.
The most epic part of this was.. I had not taken the main quest, so, none of it counts lol.

Doing Eternal Grove hm on my spirit spam rt with a full pug group before the days of heroes and the huge spirit buffs. We struggled to make it to the last wave with the 2 bosses but surprisingly, we managed to keep all tree singers alive even though everyone in the group sustained quite a bit of dp. When we made it to the last group however, everyone in the group was slaughtered except me but I had no res. Fortunately, as my team charged into the two bosses whilst they were coming down, I got time to recoup by running back to where the tree singers were. I then realised that someone had made the juggies stay at a seige turtle area and I would not have been able to get them all back in time, so I just started setting up spirits spaced out. One person called us all "OMG (censored four letter word)ing noobs" and left. Everyone else just started cheering at me and though it took a while, I managed to kill one boss and most of the mob and by this point everyone was just like "omg we're gonna make it" and "lol at the guy who left" and stuff. Finally, I beat the annoying self healing rt boss and we ended up getting masters reward. That was the most extraordinary feat I ever did in gw and was amazing being the sole survivor and beating a whole mob or two of afflicted with 2 bosses.
Anyways, after some in the group were like "omg I love this team wanna do the next bit together?" and most were like "sorry gtg" we all left and I afk'd at Vasburgs for about an hour or so? When I came back I think I was looking at armors or merch or maybe going to storage, I saw the person who left our group earlier materialising with another pug. I felt really happy

Symbiosis + a ton of enchantments ...
Probably my most memorable achievements in GW are pioneering hero builds. I put together the final form of spiritway before the 7H update (at least, if someone else did it too, we did it independently) and am so far the only person to post a Foundry HM 7H + no cons clear using a caster primary. I've achieved some very fast times with heroes (8:07 Raisu HM @_@), and I am also the first person to post a UW HM 7H + no cons clear. Pioneering 7H in UW was very memorable, although it wasn't really fun. Spending 30 minutes just to get to Plains and failing within 3 minutes after, repeatedly, was extremely annoying. Even worse was spending over two hours just to get to Dhuum, and then wipe in the first minute. But hey eventually, I finished.
I played Jade Quarry Kurzick side too to max my Kurzick title, and I forced more wins than I care to count playing a dedicated turtle killer ... I've even squeezed wins where Luxons had Green + Yellow most of the time. Since I maxed out Kurzick title I haven't bothered with JQ however: Luxon side JQ is incredibly frustrating, not only with bots, but also with map disadvantage.

I landed the top RBR score on the Friday night that the arena was first released and held it for a few hours into Saturday. The time it lasted was maybe more a little more than ten hours.

First and foremost was my team (Dragon's Den) winning 5th place at the GenCon 5K Arena back when ArenaNet used to come to GenCon. Still have the nice (empty now) $75 gift card they gave to me and each of my team members. There are even pictures on the Guild Wars site someplace.
Second, Finding out the Henchmen leveled in Beta! I decided to go exploring and was deep into the undead areas West of Lion's Arch when I noticed a few of my Henchmen had leveled. That took a lot of time and perseverance to go that far with such a limited character.
Third, Leveling out of Ascalon Arena in one shot. I started as a Level 5 and our team just kept winning and winning. There were some really close games but I finally got leveled out of the Arena.

I got Shiro stuck in a wall while doing Gates of Madness (I was holding back him and the Lich while my friend captured the Shrines). That was pretty amusing and certainly made killing him easy - he neither moved nor attacked at all.

These are more unusual than extraordinary:
1. I got the chance to go to ArenaNet for Community Day.
2. I participated in the Guild Wars Championship Tournament.
3. I led a mega-guild that at one time held House zu Heltzer while also being one of the most active GvG guilds.

Most extrordinary team - first time through the game I was playing with mates in other countries. The time diference meant that we would quest during the week and only do missions on weekends.
We beat Ring of Fire for the first time ever and said we would see each other next weekend. During the week though I joined a "skill capping" ste of PUG's in Abbadon's Mouth. Group was 4 Wammo's (I was one of them), an R/Mo, and an ele. We then spent the usual 45 mins spamming looking for monks and finally we had a group. We set out - with the monks complaining that there was too many wammo's to heal and not enough damage. We took a long while breaking down the gates and got to the first bosses with the ele spending a lot of time dead. We have an awful hard time killing good ole Willa the orison of healing spammer. Before we can take out the first bosses the group find out the ele is not infused and the monks rage quit in disgust - ele leaves in shame.
The team of 4 wammo's and a ranger decide bugger it - we won;t go back to spamming looking for monks - we will press on. The next 2 hours was a magic period of running away to spam heal sig, lying dead a lot, and struggling to keep anyone alive. The ranger had the only hard res (resurect) and there were 3 more res sigs on the wammo's. For one 10 min period we just had the ranger kiting in and trying to res someone and running away. We didn't get to cap the warrior till the very last group and at that stage we decided to press on and finish the mission. Seeing that sword at the end made it the best couple of hours I have ever enjoyed in guild wars.

me and a group of friends caused the update to add additional gate keepers in AB, because we shadowstepped up in the safe zones and killed people with rangers.

I've seen a level 3 E/W flawlessly do the Droknar's Forge run, something focusing around Obsidian Flesh, Armor of Mist, Sprint, Balanced Stance, and Bonetti's Stance.
Successfully with henchmen only, made my way from Ascalon as a level 3 Elementalist all the way into Maguuma, and back into Sanctum Cay. It definitely took a while, but I feel that as easy as the enemies may be in NM with a decent build, doing it with just Proph henchmen at that level and with the most basic of skills is an accomplishment.
There are a few others, but I doubt they're really worth mentioning.

Broke 100 million experience points on a single character and then 10,000 unspent skill points...its actually frighteningly higher now.
Killed u man
About 3 years ago, I realized I knew every skill in the game like the inside of my pocket.
About 2 years ago, I realized I knew every skill in the game at every breakpoint attribute point (12-14-15-16). It was also around this time I realized I had spent way too much time playing GW.
About a week ago, I solo'd UW with Heroes HM, no consets. On the same day, I participated in a FoW group for the first time. The only previous experience I had was solo farming in Prophecies days as one of the first to run a 55 Monk. (Which back then got severly overshadowed by the ability to solo farm UW)
My personal extraordinary assets/achievements.

I used to solo ToPK for about 1 hour / run for ectos.
Farmed 2000e from the underworld before I started spending it all on speedruns.
Ran out of skill points on my sin by crafting >1000 consets and used all of them myself.
Was one of the 3 people that knew and were using the duncan glitch making 300e / hour before stupidly revealing it and getting it nerfed xD
Founded the strongest SC guild of all time <3

This from back in the day when 55s ruled the world and everyone said how worthless Warriors were!!!
And this is when you know you've farmed IDS too much.
It's not edited. It bugged out and left my mini map and skills blacked out but it was too long of a run to not get a sword just because I couldn't see anything...
ohhh and one recent one was Yesterday, I maxed survivor on my 10,000 times dead Warrior while farming raptors for Easter.
It seemed extraordinary to me, seeing how many times I was in single digits on my HP!!!
Got Killed the run after I passed 1,337,500 and not on purpose either HAHAHA

Well my achievements are from the days of old and not all that great really.
But I took a party of people from Beacon's and soloed all the way to Droknar's Forge on my Warrior. With a build a I made up myself, it took like 5 hours but everyone in the party stayed it was rather funny and surprising that they did.
I also killed every creature in the circle area before the wurms pop up with my Warrior solo, took 30 minutes to kill the monk boss..
