Is anyone else worried the game will die completely when GW2 comes out?

Honestly, if Anet were seriously concerned about the wellbeing of GW1, they'd have gotten more people on the live team. They're not going to have the manpower to create an entire EotN size expansion, and even if they do, they're not going to make it. If EotN took 6 months to produce (I don't know how realistic that value is) then it's going to be close enough to the release date of GW2 that it'd risk splitting interest between the games imo. As you say, it'll be a bit sad to see GW1 go, but GW2 will hopefully live up to the fun times we had in GW1 so it's not a bad thing, really.

Mmmmm..... *thinking*. I plan on getting GW 2 and I'd more than likely be on the sequel than GW 1 cause I'm almost over GW 1 and I'm anxious for WOC to come out already. With that said, I'm hoping anet allows something if we log into GW2 we can still interact with our guild in GW1. That's really what I'm curious about. Will we be in a total different Guild or the same guild.

I feel that one of the good things about gw2 is that it is so different from gw1 that it is actually two entirely different games to play and thus you can play both. Personally gw2 feels to simplified and cliché and not as in depth as gw1 for me.
And since i am ranger by heart and gw1 ranger > gw2 ranger i will be dropping by regularly i think.

I doubt I will be playing GW2 as I do not like the direction anet have gone with that. I am happily still playing GW1 long after achieving GWAMM and 50/50 but I would say that anet are deliberately trying to destroy the game with the last few updates. I will keep up with it as long as my friends and guildies are here.

Not directed to Marty below.
There are those who won't be moving over to GW2 considering their favourite profession isn't in it.There are those that are playing new games or are involed in real life or they just had enough of GW.
how to leave my precious ranger baby alone here in GW1??? Well i dunno about others, but i'll definately keep playing gw1 and also wanna get gw2... so... XD 2 Gw open at same time will be alil hard.... but i hope Anet wont say buh bye to servers tho... it be a shame for those who still love Gw1
