Wrong section, but anyways:
1) About 3-4 months of playing half an hour a day. (1000 xp a day = +-130 days)
2) Use search

^really helpful post
there are faster ways to get LDoA like farming the 1st 2 bandit spawns from Farmer Hamnet quest (available from Lieutenant Langmar after you get to lvl 10). That is the fastest method now available if i am not mistaking
and as for guides,a rough one: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Ldoa

Some guy did it from scratch in 5 hours but that was before the nerf. I did it in around a week by using a lvl monkey (can't do that now) and farming the Hamnet quest.

If you farm some XP and do all the daily vanguard quests after reaching level 10, it takes about a month or less depending on how much XP farming you do on the side.
I did it for both my accounts, at the same time, after the nerf using 2 computers.

Depends on whether you XP farm and how long you farm XP (as well as with who).
Some off and on farming for me got me my LDoA in a week post-nerf, but I've seen people accomplish it in two to three days of constant farming with the nerf. The Vanguard Quest on those days also matter to an extent, the ones you're aiming for being Hamnet and Utini when it comes to gaining experience.

I started with my level 4 monk and leveled up with the charr at the gate quest (took about a day of my playing---couple of hours)...and then depending on if you just do the dailies or farm them ---another month or less (from farming).

Depends how bored you get.
Do the first skill quests until lvl 2.
Farm Charr at the Gates quest until lvl 10.
Farm daily quests / mobs (Farmer Hamnet has an easy mob just outside the outpost that can be killed with a quick rezone) and Charr hunt until lvl 19.
Run through all the other quests to hit lvl 20.
Took me about 3-4 weeks playing very casually, even then it was only worth it to troll the pre searing community.

If you wanna do it rly fast you can combine the dailies with death leveling.

Playing casually ~ 2 months.
Getting to level 10 goes pretty swiftly, and 10-20 is a cakewalk; just farm charr until 13~15, then do Farmer Hamnet farm until 20.
It'll definitely get boring, but it's got NOTHING compared to a standard Korean/Chinese grindfest MMO (GW is not a game that comes CLOSE to complaining about level grinding).
Most of the guides are outdated; the Wiki link in an OP will probably be your closest friend. There was/is one on these forums somewhere (an not-outdated one)....

I was level 9 when they added the new quests. Quickly used other quests to get to level 10 then made it to level 20 on April 27th.
