Hello all, I was wondering how that works, I had a friend in the guild that was vanquishing with another guildie, he dcd during that and immediately it showed he left the guild.
He has not been online for about a week now.
I am not certain if he got banned or not. I was just wondering when someone gets banned does it automatically make them leave the guild?
He may have left on his own. It just seemed rather odd that he would without saying a word to anyone cause he has been in the guild for about a year.
Thanks for any insight on this.

I'm not sure but I don't think people that get banned would be removed from your friend list.
Maybe he actually did leave the guild and now logs in as "offline".

Being perma banned does not remove the player from the guild. My old guild leader was perma banned in the initial Dhuum activity and we had to recreate a new guild (didn't want to wait 2 months for auto assign).

I still have in my guild friend's account who was banned 2 years ago. So nope, banned account are not removed from guilds ect.

Well, dc'ing in the middle of a vanquish and disappearing sounds a lot more like his account was hacked than banned. A thief manages to reset his password and logs in while your friend is vanquishing. The thief takes the account out of the guild and into his own guild hall and then loots the account. Your friend can't re-connect because they need to wait on support to recover the account.
How good is your friend with internet security? Do they bot? Do they download every "free cheat" on the internet to try it out?

It's possible they simply have a problem with their connection. For instance, I've heard stories where incompetent workers have cut through power or fiber lines and it took weeks for the damage to be undone and connection restored.
The fact he also left the guild is strange, though. I don't see why a hacker would retire the account from the guild, they can always put it in offline mode, and staying in the guild allows them to eavesdrop on guild and alliance chat.
My first thought upon reading what you described was that someone said or done something to him, bad enough to cause him to leave the guild and stay out of touch. You may want to double-check with guildies and alliance, especially the mate who was with him during the vanquish.
