Which campaign do most people play?
genip123
Hey, I am running through the campaigns of the latest 3 expansions but when I complete them all i would rather play on the most populated one. As I will mainly be playing for the HoMs.
So the question is which one is most popular? Or all they all linked together city wise or something? Kinda clueless here.
Cheers for help.

Hmm, I don't recall a campaign named "Assassin".
Most of the action these days involves Eye of the North and the War in Kryta parts of Prophecies. Other than that, there are the usual speed clears and Zaishen bounties/missions/vanquishes, which cover a bit of all campaigns.

As far as i know, people are spread out across all 4 "campaigns". Probably you'll find more newbies in the early areas of Nightfall (because of heroes), but this is only a speculation of mine, maybe i'm wrong. If you want to play with some other people, try to follow the daily Zaishen Quests, which are given to you in the Great Temple of Balthazar (use the ship on the global map to travel there).
Hope this helped.

K thanks for help. Would it be a good idea to complete the eye of the north first and if so with that character can I complete all other campaigns with that character?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

eye would not be my first choice.
Factions is the quickest since it has the fewest missions. Nightfall would be next although you cant 'run' thru it very well. Prophecies is the longest, however, you can skip big parts of it pretty easily.
You can play any and all of the chapters with all of your characters, there is only one area that is really inaccessible by all characters and that is pre searing, once you leave it you can never return (both factions and nightfall have a very tiny area similar to this)

I'd say, nowadays, most people that have already completed the 3 campaigns+expansion, probably do eye of the north and core elite areas, like underworld or fow, why? because of assasins farming dungeons and doing uwsc and stuff.. though, lots of people play nighfall for DoA...
Destrudo
Populated, I would probably say Nightfall if only due to the trading hub there and the fact people go through it for unlocking heroes. But they're all spread out, and aside from the trading hub named Kamadan (affectionately nicknamed Spamadan), people only really group up to do elite areas or the latest daily mission or bounty, which can be obtained from Embark Beach. So it isn't that big a concern.
To start in a campaign, I'd probably select Factions for the fastest leveling and the shortest campaign. From there you can either rush through the campaign, or go to Nightfall for heroes, Eye of the North for PvE skills + heroes, or Prophecies to get the first campaign out of the way. Nightfall would be the second best choice for a decent pacing, but there is some forced grind in that you need to raise the Sunspear and Lightbringer reputation titles to progress at certain points.
If it matters, there is also a title exclusive to Pre-Searing called Legendary Defender of Ascalon, which involves reaching level 20 in Pre-Searing. The title however is somewhat of a grindfest, and doesn't add anything to HoM beyond the normal points for adding any given title. If you want to go for it the title is there for any Prophecies character, however it isn't by any means necessary.

finish nightfall, go do Domain of anguish, always loads of people there..
Apache215
Sorry I read it as "character" -_-
EotN, if you classify it as a campaign, I would say is the most popular, having duneons and all.

Voodoo Rage
I advise going to Nightfall first just so you can pick up your first set of heroes (you can then pop back over to Factions to complete that campaign of you want). Even if you don't use them, you can get them experience when you get your quest rewards. (In general on Guild Wars, get in the habit of loading up on all your sub-level 20 heroes before you accept a quest reward, that's an easy way to painlessly get them experience and level them up).

Thanks for all the info guys, I currently have a lvl 12 on faction but I will buy eye of the north now and get sorted on Nightfall. Cheers

Personaly so far since am only on Prophecies. I have noticed that alot of people play on the American districts more than the others.
genip123
Ugh I cannot afford eye of the north untill Thursday. If I get any of the HoM achievements while not having the Eye... And I purchase eye soon after will I auto get the achievement?

yeah I know, but can't atmo as I just spent 40 pounds / need food for college next week. So yeah if I complete a HoM without the eye and I get north.. Will I get the HOM the second I get the eye?
ServiusTheBear
I would think so. I got told you canie do eye of the north till yer level 20. But am still new to GW. I might be wrong on that.
ele kid
you can still put any titles in your hom, even if they are aquired before you purchased the Eye of the norn expansion..

Once you've got the eotn expansion, you can go to the hall of monuments and claim all your trophies once you have the tapestries for each monument.
When you register everything, check out http://hom.guildwars2.com and input any of your character names and that will show you what you've acquired and how many points you have and what will get you more points.
If you haven't unlocked the hom monuments, there is a sample character you can test the site with to see how it works.
Also, there's advice on how to get all your points in several places. Trey going to:

Although I started the Trilogy edition and EotN last year, I seem to be spending most of my time in Nightfall and EotN. I don't recommend travelling to Eye of the North before level 14 at least, since the expansion is meant for level 20 (though the game lets you play at lower levels and considers you a level 20 for its purposes).
I enjoyed Factions but have gotten bogged down during the Kurzick/Luxon areas for some reason, probably because of having to earn faction with one side or the other.
Prophecies is the weakest of the four games IMO, though I know that players who started GW in Prophecies probably still prefer it. I have two Prophecies characters out of 8 total, but have gotten stuck in the Crystal Desert levels.
